Duddings nestles in 9 acres of the beautiful Avill Valley in Exmoor National Park. It was a farm until 1916 and was transformed into a holiday cottage complex in the 1980s. Updated over the years, Duddings offers comfortable accommodation for up to 77 people across 12 cottages. On-site amenities include a shared indoor pool, hot tub, tennis court and games room. With medieval Dunster & the coast close by and miles of countryside to explore, Duddings is a superb base for your holiday. The Stable Cottage (formerly known as Tivington & Exford ) is the perfect location for larger parties or families groups & sleeps 16-18 in 8 bedrooms. The downstairs consists of 2 large, fully-equipped kitchens (built-in double electric oven, large fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble drier, dishwasher), a large dining room that can seat up to 24 people, 2 sitting rooms, 2 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with showers, 2 twin bedrooms & a 5th & 6th loo. There are 2 flights of stairs to the 1st floor, each leading to a double bedroom, a twin bedroom & a shower-room. To sleep 17 or 18, an additional full-sized single bed can be added to these 2 twin bedrooms to create 2 triples. The sunny patio with it's built-in BBQ, has lovely views across our fields & The Avill Valley - an ideal place to sit out & relax, with or without the dog !

We booked the house for 12 friends and ourselves for our Ruby Wedding Anniversary weekend. This house was lovely and really peaceful. There were 14 of us and everybody said that it made them really relax. My husband is going through a couple of illnesses at the moment but, within 30 minutes, he felt “very, very relaxed”. Both kitchens were really well equipped and there were table and chairs in both. There was a large dining area which we were all able to sit at for our meals. Richard did not make his presence felt but, I asked for a high chair and, as if by magic, one turned up!! I got the feeling that Richard would be happy to help if it was needed. His house is within the grounds so it is easy to get hold of him. The grounds surrounding the house were quiet and tranquil with the occasional toot from the steam train. Everybody in our party have asked if we can go again next year so I will be organising this very soon.
Great location and facilities. We had a wonderful stay- plenty to do for the kids. Would recommend.
We stayed in a large group of mixed ages from 9 months to over 70 and it catered well for all of us. The setting is stunning and the pool, hot tub, games room, tennis court, ponies etc kept everyone well entertained and we all had a lovely time celebrating my dad's big birthday. The house itself is lovely and has great potential but the only thing that let it down was some of the cleanliness and tired decor. If there was just a little more attention to the inside this would be a perfect airbnb. The hosts were very attentive, responsive and helpful throughout. Also worth mentioning the Italian Faustos in Minehead kindly delivered food to us on the Saturday evening even though they don't generally if you want take out!

Duddings lies just off the A396, a 5 minute drive from the picturesque village of Dunster on the outskirts of Timberscombe. We are within easy reach of the coast at Minehead, Porlock, Lynton & Lynmouth & the pretty villages & valleys of Exmoor.
The best way to explore the Exmoor National Park is by car.
If you intend to get out and about and explore the area then a car is essential. There is plenty of onsite parking available.
The nearest national train station is Taunton, and Minehead is the starting point of the West Somerset scenic railway.
