The property is two small blocks from the #1 community college in the US: Santa Barbara City College (SBCC) which also provides some of the most spectacular views of the City from their east and west bluffs, plus two excellent theaters, great walking, an excellent workout stadium, and four ChargePoint electric charging stations. Walking or riding through the campus is also the fastest and most scenic way to Santa Barbara lower downtown (e.g. State Street and the Funk Zone), the main beaches, the harbor and the pier.
The Mesa neighborhood itself provides stunning walks and trails in all directions from the famous Shoreline Park at the ocean, TV Hill via Miramonte, downtown vistas via Loma Alta, off-road in Honda Valley Park, the Douglas Preserve or Elings Park (the largest private park in the USA) and a great local restaurant area (try Alcazar, Mesa Verde, Mesa Burger or Corner Tap) near the Lazy Acres celebrity supermarket.

The property has easy access to all of Santa Barbara by foot, bicycle, car or public transport (City bikes are 500 ft away, buses are 500 ft away, and the main Amtrak station is a 4 min car ride or 23 min walk). A 3 min walk into the adjacent Santa Barbara City College campus reveals some of the best views in the City and a few more mins takes you to the beach (7 min), or harbor (12 min) or pier (22 min).
The most efficient way to get around is by bicycle (and often faster to lower downtown than a car because to park in a City lot and walk often takes longer). City bikes are available a few yards from the property, we have bikes we can rent or there are many bike rental places across from the pier.
