Vacasa failed to get in touch with the owner about our rental in time, so that we could not enter our place. And they failed to offer any help while we were standing in the rain in front of our Airbnb. We just were able to enter our Airbnb after talking to the neighbour and getting in touch with the owner ourselves. Funny thing though. Vacase wrote this to us that day of arrivel (and I quote): “You should contact the Local Host for any arrival or in-house issues. During the entirety of your stay at the home, the Local Host will be your primary point of contact for any and all matters” Funny, that they tell us that they have nothing to do with the rental, but also are the on es writing to us via airbnb and also refusing to give us the number of the owner. It doesnt make any sense. Plus: They charged us 300USD for the 2 hour late checkout, only to write to us this morning: "Aprils fool! Now, we refuse the late checkout. Cleaners will be there shortly. GET OUT NOW!"
We stayed here for 3 weeks & cooked several meals. The home is lovely & spacious. The lanai is great for sitting outside by a canal & the neighborhood is great to walk around - friendly neighbors! Wayne was very responsive & addressed all my questions, concerns & liked my suggestions.
The house is big, beautiful, tastefully decorated and located in a quiet neighborhood. The lanai overlooking the canal is also very nice bonus. The bedrooms were well appointed with new bedding. The property is in close proximity of a Publix and a few restaurants. One restaurant we enjoyed very much was Finn's Dockside which is only a few blocks away. The Manatee Viewing Center is free and very nice. It's worth the five minute drive. The house is a good value if you're traveling with a family. We enjoyed our stay.
