Our property is located on a new subdivision. The back of our house backs on to a field with unobstructed views and great sunsets in the summer! Deer and even the occasional wolf (a small family lives just the other side of Mowat St N) can often be spotted walking through the field!
Within the subdivision there is a small run-off pond with a lit and paved path circling around it which is great for walking your four legged friend or for a sunset walk / run.
Also within walking distance from the property is Clearview Eco & Dog Park which is just 500m from our house along Mowat St N (turn right when leaving Prescott Dr and its 500m on your left).
The EcoPark is a public green space where visitors can enjoy the beautiful natural environment that Clearview has to offer. The park has over 3km of accessible trails, one of which loops around a small lake. The park also features interpretive signs and a bird blind to view some of the over 200 different species of birds that migrate through and live in Clearview Township. Other animals you can expect to see are turtles, beavers and deer.
As part of the EcoPark, the Community Garden welcomes visitors to walk through their rural garden filled with native perennials and vegetables grown by the Friends of the EcoPark and the Dog Park, nicknamed the Clearview EcoBark, is fully equipped with tunnels, a drinking water fountain leash holders, benches and picnic tables making it a great day out for both you and your furry friend!
Moving further away from our property, the town of Stayner has all of the facilities you would need including restaurants and an LCBO and grocery store just a 5 minute drive from the house.
For a wider choice of food and shopping, Wasaga Beach is just a 7 minute drive away and there are numerous restaurants, fast food restaurants, a large LCBO, and a giant ‘Real Canadian Superstore’.
Additionally, Wasaga Beach has a newly opened casino and of course the world’s largest fresh water beach!
