1881 is a lovely property. Very tastefully decorated. Whether you're preparing a meal or relaxing with a book/TV, the kitchen/living area is a great place to hang out. The loft bedroom is large, light and airy, with fantastic views over the village to Edinburgh. The property is full of thoughtful and imaginative touch’s - from the ample kitchen storage space to the creative hiding place of the washing machine (under the stairs BTW). I'd recommend 1881 to anyone looking for a quiet getaway with the aim of exploring Fife and the Lothians.

Clean and spacious unit equipped with everything you need—perfect for a short or long stay. The hosts are responsive, accommodating, and provide clear check-in instructions, along with a manual with some tips and recommendations. They also provided complimentary snacks, which was very thoughtful. The apartment is located near a station and takes about 35 minutes to get to Edinburgh Waverley. However, the unit is located far from grocery stores if you don’t have a car, but there is a bus that can take you there. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and recommend to those travelling to Aberdour or Edinburgh, especially for the price!
