Northend Cozy Retreat is located in Genesis Park neighborhood, a historically black neighborhood with so many stories to tell of the history of Charlotte. It is well on its way to changing as ALL of the surrounding urban neighborhoods of Charlotte are changing but hopefully this Northend corridor will set a new precedent of inclusivity and supporting local businesses, especially black-owned businesses, so that the people of these communities can thrive as our city grows and thrives! Your neighbors to the left and right are so kind so please don't be afraid to say "hello" and ask about Genesis Park and what they think about their neighborhood and the Queen City!
AND across the street with the fence you will often find a crate left outside with locally farmed veggies they share with the neighbors!

You will be close to everything in and around Uptown Charlotte!
BUT Charlotte is known for being a car city...so don't be afraid to drive. Parking is available everywhere although sometimes has a cost. :)
A good option for late night shows, concerts and bar hopping is getting an Uber or Lyft ride.
Another option is renting one of the scooters left around charlotte via the APP OR there is a Eboard rental shop with the fancy one-wheels and scooters located right around the corner at Camp Northend! Check out "rent eboards" in Camp Northend and let me know if you do...I haven't done that yet. :)
