This peaceful private beach house allows you to sleep with the sound of the wind and the waves and still access the fun and excitement of Arugam's main street, 5 minutes down the road. A private internet connection, air conditioner, refrigerator, stove, and rent-able scooter allow guests to have a more independent vacation than they would in a hotel. We highly recommend a nightly sunset walk (@6:15pm) down the relatively deserted beach to the top of Crocodile Rock.

Wir hatten einen super schönen Aufenthalt in der Unterkunft. Azeer hat uns schön empfangen und ist gut erreichbar gewesen. Der Zugang zum Strand ist genial sowie die Klimaanlage und die Einrichtung. Wir haben die Küche gerne und gut nutzen können und hatten alles, was wir gebraucht haben. Bruno, der Hund, ist uns sehr ans Herz gewachsen und wir hoffen er darf bald von der Leine. Bei der Lage empfehlen wir sich einen Scooter auszuleihen, weil es am preiswertesten ist. Danke für die schöne Zeit, wir haben uns wie zuhause gefühlt.
Het is een enorm fijn verblijf en zowel Leann als Aseer zijn zeer vriendelijk. Het is rustig, je kan uitkijken over de zee en de stad is dichtbij. Naast het huis heeft het verblijf ook een grote tuin vol met palmbomen. Als ik iets nodig had kon ik Leann en Aseer altijd een bericht sturen, dat is erg fijn. Ik zou er zeker terugkomen!
We stayed here for 5 days and it was the best accommodation we had in Sri Lanka so far. This house has everything you need and is also very clean with a nice bathroom and bedroom. Azeer is a great guy. He always answered our questions and helped us out a lot.

Potential guests should note that this is an isolated house in a Sri Lankan neighborhood. It is a good fit for independent travelers looking for quiet and privacy and long walks on a semi-deserted beach. Elephant Rock surf point is also in this neighborhood for those who are interested in surfing there.
The neighborhood is very safe. We stay near the house and can be over to help you within 10 minutes. Tony, the guard dog, will keep anyone from coming onto the property.
We have a 100% guarantee on the house, so if it is not exactly what you were looking for, it is no problem at all. We will refund your booking and do our best to help you find another hotel closer to town for your perfect beach vacation.
During the months of November and December, we rent the house out as a 1 bedroom as the rain may disturb guests in the second floor cabana bedroom.
Arugam Bay can experience some cuts in electricity and internet service.
Arugam Bay is a quiet beach town with one main street. It is very easy to rent scooters (@ $7/day) and push bikes (@$3/day). Tuk tuks are cheap and plentiful.
As we are a little outside of town, we do offer a free tuk tuk service. We are happy to pick you up at the bus, drive you around to surfing spots, tour you around to see the peacocks, crocodiles, and elephants, or even just run into the convenience store to pick you up some Pepsi.
