Fairmont · 整套民居 · 2室2床1.0卫 · 可住4人 · Live Big in Tiny Farmhouse 2 at Zion Heritage Farm
Historical Zion Heritage Farm is a haven in wild, wonderful West Virginia. The second of two tiny farmhouses, this unique 2-story home was built with you in mind. It offers a full kitchen and bath, rocking chairs on the front porch, a pond with dock, and rows of apple trees to roam. Located between Morgantown / Bridgeport, the farm is a great jumping off spot for hiking Cooper’s Rock, Prickett Fort, rock climbing, kayaking, and miles of trails. *Use of tobacco products is prohibited. Zion Heritage Farm is a peaceful place - a genuine place - and I feel genuinely blessed not only to call it home, but to be able to share it with you. When you step onto the porch, with its rocking chairs, fountain (in warm weather), and Edison-style twinkle lights, you will immediately feel the "homeyness" of the tiny farmhouse. Inside, you'll find a full kitchen, washer & dryer, full bathroom (shower) and work desk. The space offers two bedrooms on the 2nd floor, with full-size beds; the rooms are "sleeping room only," and do not offer a sitting area. You have access to most of the rest of the farm for wandering, contemplation and relaxing. In the spring you'll find the apple trees in bloom. In summer flowers bloom as apple fruitlets swell, and my honeybees tend the blossoms. Late summer and fall bring the fruit harvest, which includes apples, peaches, blueberries and pears. The orchard is "U-pick" and brings families with children to experience fresh air and honest food. The Memorial Orchard in back of the tiny farmhouse is dedicated to the West Virginian service men and women who have died in combat in Iraq and Afghanistan since 9/11. There is a granite, memorial bench at the top of this orchard, which overlooks the entire farm, and is a beautiful spot for reflection. From time to time, "Goldstar" family members (those who have lost a loved one in war) visit the farm to see "their" tree. One of my favorite places on the farm is the dock. I have a 1/4-acre, spring-fed pond, stocked with bluegill, bass, and other small game fish, which come when I call on summer evenings, and which is open to you for catch-and-release fishing. You will find me there on most evenings and are most welcome to join me for a glass of wine. For chilly evenings on the dock, you will enjoy the calm and charm of the wood pellet stove and a cup of cocoa.
This place holds a unique charm, nestled in the rolling hills of West Virginia. As evening fell, we indulged in stargazing—a spectacle of celestial wonders—and awakened to the melodic chirping of birds and a captivating fog settled in the alcove where this Airbnb resides. We witnessed the sunrise, painting hues of gold through the mist and over the pond cradled by the hills. Heather has meticulously attended to every detail, both within and outside the cabin, creating an ambiance of serene beauty. Our only regret is the brevity of our stay. I would love to come back!
Heather was a wonderful, proactive host who was very attentive to make sure our visit was pleasant and comfortable. The location and atmosphere was superb. A quiet country atmosphere surrounded by nature yet not too far from places to eat or shop. We enjoyed our time at this venue and recommend it highly.
Heather was helpful and kind, she allowed us to check in early after driving 5hrs to West Virginia for my son’s graduation.
Heather’s farm is a very special place. We enjoyed our stay and Heather was a wonderful host. The tiny house was just what we hoped for and the property and Heather far exceeded our expectations. Can’t wait to come back and visit again.
Zion Heritage Farm is located in a rural neighborhood, comprised mostly of farms and homes on larger tracts of land. I have fantastic neighbors all around. :)
There's free parking in a gravel driveway next to the tiny farmhouse.
