Seán's place -- which is also called the Aran Walker's Lodge -- is a lovely lodging house on the west side of the island, about 3 miles from the ferry dock (not far from Dun Aengus and Poll na bPeist - the wormhole-- and a big sandy beach). It is such a lovely place, with a big light-filled common room with games and couches (and yoga mats!) and an above the stairs reading nook looking out at stone-wall-quilted green fields dotted with cows. The people running it were kind and open, and Seán had super helpful recommendations -- I wish we'd followed more of them! (The bikes he rents are half the price of those in town, so go there first and drop your bags, then rent bikes from him -- we didn't do this, and he ended up driving our bags back to the dock for us.)The room was airy and bright and the toilet/shower was right outside the bedroom door so felt almost en suite. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer! Hoping to come back some day...

We had a amazing stay at Sean's place! They offer to pick you up from the ferry pier which is great. The house lays nicely in the middle of the island from where you can then easily explore everything by bike or foot. The rooms and house were nicely furnished and clean. The communication was easy and Sean and the team were always there to help you. I would definitely recommend staying there.
