Our family of 5 (Americans living in Dublin) had an excellent weekend at this beautiful home! Check in, finding the house was very easy. It’s in the middle of the island so perfect for us as we rented bikes and also took advantage of having Dara bring us in and out of town at Bernie’s recommendation. The house is spotless and so cozy & comfortable. The beds are great, the views are fantastic. Bernie was very proactive, tons of great information about the ins and outs of the island. We had a really great time on the island & would both come back and stay at this lovely home again. Highly recommend!

Bernie provided 2 phone numbers of local transportation folks - which we used Michael the entire time (5 days) we were there. He was a gem and dropped us off at our doorstep as well as getting us to the ferry in plenty of time. I had horses on either side of the fence and loved that she recycled! She was very responsive including answering my questions in the evening at times. This place is so peaceful! Aside from some 'mooing' and 'baaing', the wind was the next noisiest thing. I loved this place and community so much, I'm thinking of buying there. Thank you Bernie for sharing your beautiful hideaway!

If I were you I would tap tap tap on my laptop and get to work. Book literally rn. The house is large and spacious. The backyard faces the iconic stonework fencing typical on Inishmore and the Atlantic. The kitchen is large and clean, and we were so excited to find butter and milk in the fridge. There's a fireplace in the living room. You'll see cows and horses as you're washing dishes. It's a bit spooky running into them at night. The island is gorgeous, and the location of Home Away from Home is kind of perfect. It's a bike ride to the village (with the SHOPS), the seal viewing point, DUN AENGUS, the WORMHOLE, the 7 churches -- really anything you'd like to view. The house is also on a hill approaching from the left. The penultimate hill goes crazy, especially because it's one of three steep and unforgiving hills. Biking will be like not super easy but kind of fun. Highly recommend. Beautiful place. Book it if you can. We had an amazing time.
