If you can drag yourself away from this gorgeous property, you will discover a wealth of things to do. Ideally located in a pretty English village, the house is surrounded by country walks and cycle routes, and is a short 15 minutes’ drive to the historic Cinque Ports town of Sandwich, 20 minutes’ drive to the coast at Deal and 20 minutes’ drive to the medieval City of Canterbury. Two great family days out are the Wingham Wildlife Park and Howlett's Zoo 10 to 15 minutes drive away.
There is so much to do in this location, numerous golf courses, beaches, walking, cycling. Broadstairs, Deal and Kingsdown beach are 20 mins away and Whitstable 40 mins.
The Zetland Arms in Kingsdown is a must, the beach style pub is on the beach and is fantastic in summer or winter. Winter is my favourite with the log fires after a bracing beach walk. You can walk along the sea front into Walmer and Deal from the pub. It does get busy so please do book ahead.
The Bridge Arms - nestled within the beautiful rural village of Bridge situated within the Nailbourne Valley 2.5km South of the cathedral city of Canterbury. Originally a coaching inn the Bridge Arms dates back to the 16th century, once a baiting house the grade II listed pub boasts large original fireplaces for the winter months.

Chef-patron Daniel Smith was recently awarded Observer's Young Chef of the Year and his seasonal menu focuses on provenance, showcasing the best of local Kentish ingredients, sourced direct from local farms and producers. No name shop in Sandwich is also a good place to visit offering delicious French food, cheeses, charcuterie, freshly baked bread, patisserie and coffee.

It's recommended to have a car with you for your stay, as this is a rural property. The nearest train station is Sandwich (10-15 minute drive).
Canterbury West Train station is a 20 minute drive from the house where you can get the high speed from London St Pancras.
Alternatively, Deal Train station is also a 20 minute drive from the house where you can also get the high speed train.
