Snuggle Inn is a 100 year plus old South Katoomba mountain charmer which has been lovingly restored and updated. Most walks, lookouts, Scenic World and Katoomba's cafes/restaurants are only minutes away by car. It's a light, bright and warm mountain cottage with beautiful feature leadlight windows and a stunning gas fire place. Private and quiet, it is nestled in a fully fenced garden with hammock, fire pit, bbq roofed front & back veranda, perfect to enjoy a cuppa and relax. This historical cottage is the last remaining original cottage from the gully settlement. The house is featured on the map to the entrance to the gully, which is just opposite the house, across the street. A private and quiet corner of Katoomba, you will experience different mountain birds. Guests will love having only one other house nearby, the other side is open bushland. Snuggle Inn is perfect for two solo travellers who travel together but prefer their own room, or two couples. The cottage would also suit a small family. We are happy to host longer stays, 1 month minimum and give a 25 % discount. Please note that cleaning during the long stay will be done by the guests. We are able to offer a 10 % discount to all guests for Apsara Day Spa Katoomba for a limited time. The cottage size with verandas is 64 square meters. There is plenty of parking space in front of the cottage garden door, no need to lug baggage far or upstairs. Easy access to the cottage, the block is almost level, there is 1 step into the cottage, the interior has no steps, the laundry area has 3 easy steps to the back door, a hand rail is provided and 1 step to the back porch. This cute miners cottage is a cosy, relaxing getaway featuring: - a cute entrance - a cosy living/dining area - sofa bed - 33 inch smart tv / netflix plus free to air tv - a uniquely tiled gas fire place - board games - 2 bedrooms with queen size beds, aircon/heating plus portable heaters, mattress blankets - a galley kitchen with stone bench - gas stove/oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, sandwich press, fridge, coffee pod, kettle, crystal Wine/Champagne glasses, cutlery, white goods, pots and pans. - Tea/coffee, milk, bread, butter, eggs, cooking oil, salt/pepper are complimentary provided to get you started. - fully tiled bathroom with a claw foot bath - seperate fully tiled laundry with washer/dryer, plus outdoor clothes line - covered front & back verandah - a private, fully fenced garden - hammock - bbq - fire pit - outdoor furniture - car port Guests with a car will enjoy being within minutes to most walks and lookouts, Katoomba with it's cafes and restaurants, Scenic World and Cahill's Lookout, which is a must for witnessing a gorgeous sunset. Bring your swimmers! Walk across the street to the local Aquatic and sports center. It features a heated indoor pool, sauna plus hot tub. In summer a newly refurbished outdoor olympic size pool invites for a dip. A small gym and classes are also on offer. For smaller kids, (Kids Kingdom) offers an inflatable climbing indoor space and for parents an opportunity to relax with a coffee. The red double decker explorer bus stops also at the Aquatic Center. Every hour the local bus stops 300 meters away on the same side as the cottage.

This place is cosy. Gesine had put in special touches to make this very special. The beautiful park across the road with the historic Catalina racetrack and The Gully. So close to the centre of town via car. Quiet and lots of special bird life. Cannot recommend more highly.

A lovely, clean little getaway equipped with everything you need for a peaceful stay (plus some thoughtful extras). Walking distance to the main street of Katoomba, in a quiet area, and a fully fenced yard, secure for your pup.
We are new to Airbnb and this is only the 2nd one we have stayed in. We find it hard getting used to the amount of clutter and eclectic furnishings. This house was a bit out of town but this didn't worry us as we have no issues with driving to dinner etc. The property was, as stated, fairly old and the living areas were a bit small and pokey. The bedrooms and beds were ok and the house was clean. There is only Air Con in the 2 bedrooms but they were enough to cool the living area on our visit. There is also a gas heater in the living room but we didn't need it. We did not like the bathroom and thought it was not very functional with considerable water going on the floor with each shower regardless of how careful you were. The concrete driveway and carport was great but you had to walk over grassed areas to get into the house, so not the best when raining or dewy, as it was when we visited. The outside yard and gardens are also pretty messy. Overall, it was ok.
This was one of the best Airbnb’s we have ever stayed in. Quaint but perfect for a cosy weekend in the blue mountains with all of the homely touches you expect from an Airbnb but so many lack these days from kitchen condiments to extra toilet paper (it’s the little things 😊). Gesine was helpful and responsive, thanks so much for having us!

The cottage is located in South Katoomba, in a quiet pocket, away from the Main Street, yet close enough for quickly ducking into town.
Guests are within minutes by car at most lookouts, climbing areas, bushwalking trails, Scenic World and Katoomba's restaurants, cafes and shops.
Walk across to the local Sports and Aquatic Center.
It features an olympic size outdoor pool, open from October to March. The indoor pool is open all year, it boosts a sauna, spa bath, and kids area, all heated.
There is also a gym, gym classes and an indoor kids climbing area for smaller kids, called Kids Kingdom.
Just across the street you will find walks with information boards giving some historical background of the gully area.
Around the gully area is the old Catalina Racecourse. Abandoned since the late 1990, it is slowly reclaimed by nature. it is a lovely 2.2 km walk. A paradise for bird watchers, wallabies can be seen at dawn, echidnas occasionally, Comorans always at the old pool/now duck pond.
Kaoomba has taxis, no ubers. Most are parked at the train station.
A own car is beneficial, but there is a bus stop to the right from the cottage, about 300 meters. The bus stops every hour.
Opposite at the Aquatic Center, the Explorers Red Double Decker Bus stops. This bus stops at all major tourist attractions. Tickets can be bought for a day or longer.
