Tillamook · 整套客用套房 · 1室1床1.0卫 · 可住2人 · Homestead suite with valley view
Unplug and unwind at our family homestead overlooking Tillamook forest and farmland. Spacious, colorful rooms and peaceful outdoor spaces invite you to relax, renew, and enjoy nature all around you. Watch the sunrise from the deck with a steaming cup of coffee in hand, enjoy some off-leash playtime with your pup in our woodland dog park, or snuggle up in bed after a day exploring the coastal wonderland - it’s your time to just be. Our little homestead is situated on 1.3 wooded acres overlooking the Trask River Valley, a little-known slice of what the locals call “Paradise”, just inland from Tillamook Bay and coastal beaches. We live here full time, working on projects, hosting guests like you, and taking care of plants and animals, including our chickens, honeybees and pets. We also run a pet care business, and often have a few dogs boarding with us or hanging out for daycare or training. As our guest, you’ll stay in our guest suite, which is accessed by a private entrance on one side of our home. We've taken inspiration from our travels to some of our favorite places like Japan, Thailand and Mexico, to decorate the suite, and vintage furnishings gathered over a few years add to a warm, relaxed vibe. Guests often share that they love the super comfy bed, large walk-in shower, attached sun porch, and views from the deck. The suite is closed off from our living quarters by walls and a locked sliding door to ensure privacy. However, we are in the same house and have shared walls with the suite, so during daytime hours you will likely hear us moving about, cooking, talking, playing with our pets, etc - consistent with what you would experience staying in a room in someone's house. You are also likely to see us out and about on the property, but our priority is to respect your privacy so we'll take your lead; just flag us down or chat us up if you'd like to! We also have a cat who is indoor/outdoor whom you may meet out on the grounds. Also note that being out in the countryside, our home is on well water. The water is filtered before reaching the home, and we find the water soft on the skin and fresh to drink, but it may be a little different to some, especially if you're used to city water. As a courtesy we provide Primo filtered drinking water in a water dispenser in the suite. Visitors often say this spot feels a little bit like an upscale campground - the house is built on a hill encircled by over 100 trees, with a winding gravel driveway and several outbuildings where we work on projects, all just minutes from the border of Tillamook State Forest. As people who enjoy camping, we love breathing the fresh mountain air, and watching hawks, deer and elk cruise through our neighborhood. We also love to hear the sounds of farm life from our neighbors' cows, roosters and goats. There's a lot to enjoy on site, but it's equally rewarding to use this spot as a home base to explore the many natural wonders and quaint coastal towns north and south of us.
Loved this place! Close enough for a short drive to the beach but far from the hustle and bustle of a beach town. A relaxing destination in and of itself! Highly recommend!
Rachel's place was exactly what we needed after a full day exploring Tillamook and the coast! From the moment I made our reservation, Rachel was communicative and made sure we were prepared for our arrival. The pictures were clear and exactly as described. Her instructions for finding the driveway and the guest suite entrance were thorough. It was raining while we arrived and I wasn't sure what to expect with the steep driveway in our rental car, but it wasn't an issue at all. The little kitchenette was perfectly supplied with everything we needed to make a quick breakfast before continuing our adventures. I loved how organized and clean everything was and we really did have a lot of space to relax. We'd love to stay again if we have another chance to make it up through Tillamook!
Wow wow wow! What a stay. The place was so clean and it has a beautiful view. So many things to do from hiking to visiting the Tillamook creamery.
Good location near hiking and food and attractions and in beautiful farmland country. Gorgeous views!
Quiet, rural residential neighborhood of 2+ acre lots, overlooking the beautiful Trask River Valley and foothills of the Tillamook State Forest. Many neighbors have pets and farm animals like chickens, goats, cows and horses. A couple parcels away are several dairy farms with cows that graze in large fields. We're a 5-minute drive from the Trask River, 10 minutes from the Wilson River, 10 minutes from downtown Tillamook and 20 minutes from the beach.
We recommend a car or other motor vehicle to get around out here, as it is most convenient and safe. We have private, free parking in front of our garage right next to the house.
As another option, there is a pretty good public transit system, NW Connector, that provides bus travel between the Willamette Valley and Oregon Coast from Astoria to Yachats. The buses stop in downtown Tillamook, and there is a local service, Dial-a-Ride, with which you can schedule local trips. We are also happy to pick you up or drop you off in town, just contact us in advance to arrange details.
Bike travelers are more than welcome at our home, but we offer fair warning that the roads out here can be dangerous, with little to no shoulder, blind corners and very fast traffic. Ride safe and stay on guard! That said, we also have sheltered bike parking for you.

Hi, I'm Rachel and I live with my family on our small homestead in Tillamook, OR, where we spend time making art, playing music, and taking care of plants and animals. I love to travel and see new places, learn new things, and connect with new friends. I also love the area where I live and sharing it with visitors.
