Brookwood House Jewelweed Room- A boutique waterfront property nestled in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We are Fragrance Free Space. Jewelweed Room within Brookwood House is equipped with a queen bed, double sofa bed, and on-suite access to bathroom on the lower level of Brookwood House. Connection, rest, regeneration, and creativity can transform much suffering in the world, and we hope to be a part of that and to build a foundation of aligned persons that will return to Brookwood to regenerate oneself in the future. We have 5 beautiful, spacious, and comfortable private rooms for you to choose from, where you can work in peace, ground and meditate in peace, journal in our many nooks throught the property, or decide to spend time in the ample, shared common spaces. . Brookwood was lovingly designed and constructed by the owners. It has 5 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, and a creek winding through the back. It's full of life, color, and opportunities to slow down and connect deeply with loved ones, yourself, and the natural world. As soon as you enter the foyer you're welcomed by the beautiful architecture of floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the creek side from the living room. Beautiful and unique art displays from local artists. In every corner you are sure to recognize a special piece on display and little touches embedded in the home. The Main bedroom (Trillium) is on the main floor, 2 bedrooms upstairs (Milkweed and Joe Pye), and 2 bedrooms downstairs (Chanterelle and Jewelweed). Along with a generous kitchen, two living areas, a sleeping porch, and our favorite spot -- the veranda that has an equisite view that makes you feel like you are hanging over top of the creek. We have plenty of space for all to be able to spread out and cohabitate easily. Outside we have a gas grill, fire-pit, terraced gardens, a veranda where you can watch bald eagles and herons, and even a sleeping deck with swings and netting to protect you from those pesky mosquitos. Spend a night outside listening to the sound of the Virginia peepers, the bubbling creek, and wake up feeling brand new! Head out first thing in the morning on the short trail up the creek for a morning energy boost! Cozy places are abundant in this lovely house, you can relax and unwind while watching the wildlife of these fertile mountains. Upstairs, there's a secret room that's great for kids, big and small, to hide out and play. Can you find it? You have to get here to find it, and you're not allowed to tell! We love hosting but are very particular about who we allow into our space. Which is why you will have to apply for our Winter Residency. We hope that whoever shares this space will treat it like their own and with the utmost respect. We have created Brookwood House so that it becomes your second home if you shall cross paths with us. You might see her during your stay, but she has her private entrance and keeps mostly to herself.
