Enjoy our bright, well-furnished 1-bedroom apartment for your visit to Oldenburg. This very private space is in the beautiful countryside on the west side of Oldenburg, conveniently just a short walk to downtown, only 7 minutes from I-74, and 10 minutes from downtown Batesville. Your own private entrance welcomes you to this sunny apartment above our office, allowing you to feel you have your own little getaway. You'll have large windows to enjoy the gorgeous views of the surrounding area, including rolling hills and a creek that runs through the property. The main area is bright and pleasant for your visit, with a 65” smart TV and free Wi-Fi. You're also guaranteed a great night's sleep on the incredibly comfortable queen Puffy mattress. There is additionally a futon style couch which is perfect for kids. We are happy to set up a pack-n-play and provide any required gates should you need them. The kitchen is well-equipped with full oven, stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, coffeemaker, toaster, garbage disposal and microwave along with plenty of pots and pans if you want to cook. Otherwise, we can provide plenty of local suggestions for restaurants. For food we provide eggs (from our chickens if they aren't on strike), butter, English muffins or bagels, cream cheese, jam, coffee, and a tea selection.

Our first impression is: your home is beautiful! It's impeccably clean, fresh and new! We love it! Some people in our age group, 64/80, may have difficulty with the stairs, but we live in an older home and climb stairs everyday of our lives! Great exercise! We did eat at Lil' Charlie's. We were under impressed at first. however, we ordered and the food was outstanding!!! This is a fabulous start to our Charlotte Trip! The village is charming and filled with history. Richard’s place exceeded my expectations. The decor and furnishings are first class. It is spacious, comfortable, and equipped with everything you could want or need… surrounded by the charm of this quaint little town. This is an exceptional value! I will be back.
We only stayed one night on our way to Kansas but would definitely stay again if given the chance ! The place was easy to find, plenty of parking, very quiet and safe area. The inside was clean, Richard kept it well stocked with everything we would have needed.
This is a wonderful place to stay in the quaint town of Oldenburg. The host included many special touches. You will enjoy your time here.

Our apartment is located on the second story of an historic early 1900 building that was home to various businesses throughout the years, including a gas station, feed store and a pet grooming facility. Located on the edge of Oldenburg on 5 acres, this beautiful country space, with a creek running through it, makes for a lovely walk especially in the mornings and evenings.
Getting to our apartment couldn't be easier as we are one turn off State Route 229, which runs through the heart of downtown Batesville and across I-74 at exit 149.

My wife and I have lived in the Oldenburg/Batesville area since 2006. We have 12 children and 9 grandchildren (so far). In my free time (which is at a premium these days), I enjoy long distance hiking, camping, restoring old woodworking machinery, and fixing things around the house. This is our first foray into hosting on the Airbnb platform, so we are always looking for feedback and ways to make your stay a little more comfortable.
