There’s a utility room on the ground floor and upstairs is the family bathroom and the two double bedrooms – one has a French-inspired Louis XV solid wood bed and a wardrobe, and the other has a gorgeous four-poster bed, ornamental fireplace, and a chest of drawers. Heading outside there’s an enclosed patio area with a gate to the secret garden, a large fenced and hedged lawn with a summerhouse, a BBQ, and somewhere to sit and enjoy meals alfresco. Have a day out in York (7.5 miles) visiting the Minster, Yorkshire Air Museum, Jorvik Viking Centre, and the National Railway Museum (7.5 miles). Explore the local countryside on pretty walks and bike rides or head into the Howardian Hills (15 miles) and North York Moors (30 miles).
