Spacious & updated apartment located in a Charming Historic home that has been converted to six private apartments on 5th Street in Coos Bay. Beautiful and quiet residential neighborhood close to downtown Coos Bay Shopping, dining and entertainment. (6-8 blocks walking distance). This private space with updates and amenities throughout, offers a comfortable place to stay in Coos Bay. Fully furnished, Cable & WIFI, full kitchen, WD and FREE parking. Fully set up kitchen to make cooking enjoyable and efficient. Full size appliances including refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker and toaster to create efficiency. Dishes, utensils and basic cookware included for your convenience. Dining area features dining table with seating for up to (4) and each unit is equipped with a desk for working from home. Curl up on the comfy sofa with a blanket and a book, or catch up on your favorite shows. Sofa folds out to a full-size bed for additional guests. Large 50-inch flats screen Smart TV, complete with Netflix, Amazon, Cable and WIFI to complete the necessities! First bedroom features comfortable queen bed. Quality linens provided and a closet space for storing guests’ personal items. NOTE: this bedroom can be accessed by walking through the bathroom OR the 2nd bedroom. Second bedroom has private entrance and a comfortable queen bed, quality linens and a small portable space for hanging clothing and guests personal items. NOTE: this bedroom also has the exterior door to back patio and you must walk through bedroom to get to back patio. Bathroom has a shower/tub combo and bathroom linens are high-quality and tastefully decorated. Hairdryer and basic essentials and paper products are available for your arrival. Enjoy your morning coffee or a glass of wine on the semi-private sitting area on a covered back porch. There is also a common back patio with a propane BBQ, a gas firepit and seating overlooking the backyard. Full-size washer and dryer provided in common laundry area. Laundry is coin-op and takes credit/debit. (1) FREE parking spot in back parking lot. Street parking is NOT allowed in front of neighboring properties and violators will be ticketed. We do allow up to (2) pre-approved dogs with an additional pet fee of $50 per pet. Unfortunately, we do NOT accept Cats due to allergies. Be sure to let us know that you plan on bringing a pet and to read and understand our Pet Policy before booking with a pet. Pack and Play is available onsite. Staying here reminds me of living in a bigger city apartment, definitely a cozy place and felt right at home.
Good place, but the heater is kinda not stable. Perhaps, we don’t know how to use it. And bathroom door has some trouble to lock, and it needs to be fixed.
The location is in a great spot. Apt was clean and well stocked. Not enough parking for guests. Signs in apt threatened of tickets and towing if parked in front of apt. Heaters were not working properly. Could not get the listed local contact to respond in a reasonable time frame on either evening of our stay. Had to purchase my own space heater and extra blanket. Local contact that was listed on the contact sheet seemed upset I messaged her on her personal phone as she was unavailable to respond. I advised her that that was the local contact number provided in the home. Felt as if the local contact did not believe the heaters were working properly and that the issue was my fault. Local contact never offered to contact someone else to try and get our issues resolved. Had nothing but excuses as why she did not respond in a timely manner. In all we fixed the issue on our own. Made the best of our trip but was a horrible experience. I kept the text strings.

Stay In’s place was wonderful! Clean home in a great location. Really appreciated the recommendations of things to do as that is a beautiful area. Will stay with them again.

This property is located in a quiet residential neighborhood approximately 6-8 blocks from downtown Coos Bay and the Bay front. Take a Historic Walking Tour of Coos Bay learn to Build a Boat or Tour the Dunes. Visit downtown’s Coos Art Museum for world class exhibits. Enjoy the nationally acclaimed Oregon Coast Music Festival in July. Visit the annual holiday lights display at nearby Shore Acres State Park in December. Coos Bay’s downtown farmer’s market on Wednesdays is very popular. With the ocean just a few miles away, the Bay, and abundant coastal rivers and forests, you can enjoy great fishing and a wide variety of outdoor activities.
Downtown Coos Bay is within walking distance and there is limited public transportation.
A trio of state parks are located just 13 miles southwest of Coos Bay: Sunset Bay State Park, Shore Acres State Park, and Cape Arago State Park.
Sunset Bay State Park offers extensive picnic and overnight camping facilities, with a spectacular half-moon bay boasting shallow swimming areas and sandy beaches.
Shore Acres State Park features the luxurious gardens from the original estate of pioneer lumberman and shipbuilder Louis J. Simpson. A fully enclosed observation building now occupies the site of Simpson's mansions, offering spectacular view of rugged seascapes, towering storm waves, and glimpses of migrating whales from December through June. The extensive gardens are home to carefully curated plants from around the world, featuring stunning seasonal blooms and a holiday light display from Thanksgiving to New Year's Eve. Shore Acres Holiday Lights has over 300,000 holiday lights with numerous light sculptures and 30 large trees decorated by community groups, including one by the City of Coos Bay.
One mile to the south, Cape Arago State Park has outstanding overlooks, hiking trails, picnic tables, and excellent opportunities for viewing tidepools life and marine mammals (whales, seals, and sea lions). A hiking trail, which is part of the Coast Trail, connects the three parks.
If you plan to head out to our wonderful beaches along Cape Arago Highway (which dead ends at Cape Arago) there is a shortcut route from south Coos Bay to Charleston.
