SLEEP: - Each room is equipped with a luxury firm memory foam mattress, hotel-grade bedding, and blackout shades to ensure your most restful night's sleep. - Quiet hours are observed each evening between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. COMFORT: - We provide all the essentials to make your next getaway easy and comfortable. Body wash, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, and dish soap are all provided. - We have a cozy, easy-to-use electric fireplace that's perfect for curling up after a fun day on the water or exploring. - The kitchen is fully stocked with a drip coffee maker (coffee, tea, filters, cream, and sugar are all provided) as well as all the cookware and spices you need to whip up a delicious meal during your stay. - There is a washer and dryer in the (unfinished) basement that is available for use during your stay. A starter pack of laundry detergent is provided. FUN: - We are located just 3 minutes away from the Vermilion Boat Launch making this home the perfect launchpad for fishing trips or water activities. - We are just 5 minutes away from beach access as well as downtown Vermilion's many charming shops, restaurants, and wineries. - Cedar Point, Kalahari, and Great Wolf Lodge are also 30 minutes away (or less!). We had a wonderful stay. Alaina could not have been any more attentive to our needs or responsive in our communications. Her home is very cozy and clean. The neighborhood is nice and quiet. We will definitely contact her again if you make another trip to Vermilion.
If you are looking to visit Sandusky but want to stay out of the city look no further than this cozy cottage! Located in the town of Vermilion, there is many local shops and restaurants to enjoy while there. Alaina’s house was just as pictured and was so cozy. Me and my sisters loved the house and its location! Alaina had everything we could possibly need from amenities to cookware, to local places to eat and things to do in the area. She was such a lovely host and was always there to answer questions we had and even check on us the night we checked in and the morning we checked out. I cannot wait to go back to Vermilion and I will definitely be staying at Alaina’s cottage again!
Alaina was an excellent host! Super responsive and the home was extremely clean. The price was perfectly reasonable and the neighborhood was safe and quiet. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay here again.
Beautiful home in a charming town! The layout of the house was fantastic and the location to the downtown area was convenient. Vermilion was the cutest town with many charming local restaurants and shops. Alaina was friendly and responsive. Perfect little house for our family and would definitely stay here again!

Our cottage is located in a quiet residential neighborhood near Vermilion High School and conveniently located just 1 mile away from water access and the bustling downtown.
The closest water access is the Vermilion Boat Launch (3 mins away by car) and the nearest beach is Main Street Beach (5 mins away by car). There's also a plethora of other water access points and beaches within a 10-minute radius of the cottage.
Within a walkable, half-mile of the house, you'll find the Vermilion Community Pool (seasonal, outdoor), the Vermilion YMCA, the Vermilion Skate Park, the Vermilion Elementary School playground, and more.
Favorite restaurants in the area include The Pavilion Grille, the Woodstock, Brewed Awakening, and Granny Joe's Ice Creamatorium -- all of which are approximately 1 mile from the cottage.
There is a Giant Eagle grocery store 1.9 miles away and a Rite Aid pharmacy 1.5 miles away.
This charming residential neighborhood is great for morning walks and leisurely bike rides. Just over a mile from the downtown, guests who like to get their steps in and don't mind a couple of busier streets can walk to and from nearby restaurants.

In 2023, we purchased a cozy cottage in Vermilion, OH just 3 min away from the Lake Erie shoreline and bustling downtown.
