Stayed at David's place in Totnes for a week-long retreat and it was perfect, bursting with thoughtful little touches, attention to detail, and simple, solid quality. There were games, DVDs and Netflix, a luxurious deep bath, a comfortable bed with nice pillows and crisp linen, and a leather recliner and footstool bang opposite the retractable projector screen. I loved the sweet, private garden, fresh flowers in the bedroom, toiletries, essentials such as tea, coffee and cooking oil, and David's welcome gift of a bowl of fruit and oat milk. The oil in the bathroom burner smelled lovely too. The house (all on one floor) was better than I'd expected from the photos because you can't capture kindness and David's kindness is everywhere. You don't need a car here. The hill up to the house is pretty steep but there's a bus if needed and an alternative route past a chocolatier called Tempt that should be open in May 2024 or thereabouts. I'd highly recommend both house and host.

Great bungalow, extremely well kitted out with everything you could need. Comfortable beds, good bathroom and really helpful appliances everywhere! Enjoyed watching TV on the giant screen and the views towards Dartmoor when the mist lifted. David left bread & milk & other goodies and was a great communicator. Would recommend!!

We loved staying at David's place. It was exactly as described, light and airy, and extremely well equipped. We had rather a wet week in Totnes, but always coming back to such a nice place contributed to a great week.

A lovely place to stay, regardless of weather. When the clouds lift, the view is beautiful, the changing sky and the variety of birds, absolutely captivating. The log burner is a wonderful feature and makes the evenings really special.

David was the perfect host indeed. The equipment in the apartment is superb: kitchen, filtered water, Nutribullet, Sodastream, movie/Netflix and lovely film collection, microwave, washing etc. etc . Lots of little, thoughtful details and extras everywhere. And everything so clean and perfect! We were welcomed with tasty bread and milk. We loved the quietness of the area. David came over when we had problems regulating the heating. It was very nice to meet him in person!
