This place is as good as it looks: it's a gorgeous Victorian, close to campus and in a charming neighborhood. The rooms are comfortable, private, and well appointed. There were robes in the closet waiting for me, and I love a good robe. The kitchen was fantastic, and if I'd had time to cook I would have. The bathroom's clawfoot tub and modern shower were a perfect way to unwind, and since there were two bathrooms for three bedrooms, sharing was never an issue. And Derrick was always available, had great local recommendations, and was fun to talk to. I mean... just stay here.
Derrick's beautiful Victoria home was the perfect place for my stay during mom's weekend. It was an easy 10 minute drive to campus. Street parking was available nearby. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked and clean. We will definitely return!
This is a great house in a great location, especially for those wanting to use transit and/or to walk to downtown Urbana locations. Everything was in great repair, and it's obvious that Derrick is making continual improvements to make everything even better. This will definitely be my first choice for where to stay on future trips.
This is a one of a kind place! Beautiful restored mansion. Comfortable room, great common areas. Shared bathroom was not a problem, and the clawfoot tub was gorgeous tho didn't get a chance to use it. Very quiet, couldn't hear noise from other rooms, peaceful neighborhood with lots of restaurants nearby. Highly recommended.

The neighborhood is in the Historic Urbana District. Generally a quiet neighborhood but occasionally there are lively weekends.
Street parking is ample. Bus stop in front of home will take you to downtown Champaign for $1. Downtown Urbana is walking distance. There are rideshare bicycles and e-scooter services in town.

I never imagined I would be hosting guests in an old Victorian! It took a year from when I first discovered the home to become the owner, and it took another year to get the house ready for guests.
