The perfect family getaway with plenty to do, beautiful property, garden and surroundings, fantastic friendly hosts and plenty of space. A very peaceful setting with an excellent set up for children to be children. Our family of 5 children range from young to teen and each one found plenty to be occupied with. You feel away from everything in a good way. A great place to make lasting memories with your family in a beautiful relaxed setting.

We have just got back from a fabulous week at Vivien and Robert’s lovely home. The setting was lovely - rural, picturesque and true to the pictures. We were welcomed by the pair and shown around the large garden and outdoor space - our three children instantly wanted to get out in nature and Vivien and Robert were more than happy to let them run free and explore. The field and garden was brilliantly catered for our young family, with lots to climb, dig, hide under and play with. They even put s little tent up for the children half way through the week which was wonderful, as well as helping us launch the pedalo on the canal. Inside, the warm and cosy home offered everything we could possibly need. Of course lovely beds and a stocked kitchen etc but what really made it, were all the little details a family could need. Teddy bears on beds for the kids, night nappies, plasters, marshmallows for roasting and lots of toys and books tiny wellies. Can’t wait to return.

Well, what can I say… What a gem! Peaceful rural retreat for 2 families of 4. Vivien nailed it for the children and we couldn’t pull them in from outside. When we eventually did, it felt some homely. Personally, I loved cooking on the arga! Kitchen was well equipped with every spice and herb! Bedrooms were a generous size and the two boys loved their bunk bed rooms! We would return in a heartbeat and thank you for all your hospitality.

Vivien and Robert's place is something very special. Tucked away in a quiet little hamlet with just a few homes and an ancient church, amongst beautiful rural surroundings. Vivien met us to show us around both the house itself and the huge grounds that you also have full access to roam while you stay there. The house itself is great, very comfortable and has everything you need, including plenty of toys and games which proved a big hit with our daughter. The 5 acres of garden and grounds were the real highlight for us. The disused canal at the bottom of the garden was great fun with the pedalo and kayak, and there is large a separate area as well with loads of activities for kids and big kids alike (swimming pool, rope swing, firepits, trampoline, hammocks, wendy houses etc!). Vivien and Robert were great hosts, always on hand if needed but otherwise left us to our own devices. We loved it here and defintely plan to return!
