ABOUT THE LOCATION Step outside and take a short 5 min walk to Esplanade Avenue, the "downriver" boundary between the French Quarter and the Faubourg Marigny. One of the quietest, most scenic and historic streets in New Orleans, Esplanade Avenue is a hidden treasure running through the heart of the city. From Esplanade Ave, take a right down North Rampart to explore Armstrong Park or continue on to Bourbon St to visit Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop Bar. From Lafitte's, you'll be a quick 7 min walk to Jackson Square! Or if Bourbon isn't really your style, take Esplanade Ave down to Royal St and hang a left to find the myriad of music spots on Frenchmen Street. On the way, you can stop at the famous R Bar.
