This welcoming property in Rothbury offers one of the most breathtaking views in the area across the Coquetdale Valley towards the Simonside Hills, within the Northumberland National Park. Sitting in the lounge or on the glass sided balcony and gazing out at the views, you will feel your cares melt away while you relax and plan where to start exploring this most stunning of areas. There are many walks right on your doorstep and some great cycle ways, plus a scenic golf course, river fishing and of course, the must-visit National Trust-owned, historic Cragside House and beautiful Gardens. In Rothbury village, you will find a superb range of shops, pubs, restaurants, art galleries and gift shops, not to mention a brand-new ice cream parlour you must try! The property enjoys an elevated position in the village and glorious views and as a result, access to the front door from the drive is down a set of stone steps(care must be taken) and the property is set over 3 floors. Entering at the front door and porch area where you can hang coats and leave your walking boots. Off the ground floor hallway there is a utility/laundry/drying room with a Belfast sink and washing machine and on the other side, a useful WC. Three steps lead you up to the first floor lounge/dining area with stunning, panoramic views. There are two sofas to relax on and a large coffee table for your drinks. For cosy evenings in, there is a wood burning stove (please note you can buy logs in the village). There is a dining table with seating for five overlooking the balcony through large, sliding doors and the kitchen is also on this floor, with an electric oven and hob, fridge and freezer, microwave and dishwasher. Step out onto the glass sided balcony with your binoculars to see some bird life or sit at the patio table and enjoy a drink. Downstairs on the lower, ground floor, you will find the family bathroom with a shower over the bath and the three bedrooms. The light and airy master has a double bed, sliding door wardrobes and a chest of drawers/dressing table and the second double also has sliding door wardrobes, bedside cabinets and an easy chair. For those who really want to relax after a day out walking, there is a Finnish sauna with two-tier seating that you can enjoy during your stay located off this bedroom. The cosy third bedroom has bunk beds and storage for your clothes and the glazed door from here leads out into the main patio and garden areas. Outside, there are two seating areas, the balcony, which is accessed from the dining area has a patio table and chairs where you can retreat with a drink and watch the birds, and a patio which is accessed from the single bedroom which has table and chairs to relax on and you can cook dinner on the charcoal BBQ. In the garden there are plenty of mature trees and shrubs attracting wildlife and birds. For the more adventurous there is a stile at the bottom of a wild, steep garden which joins a footpath which leads into the village. Otherwise, for the less adventurous you can access the same footpath by going up the steps to road, turn left and there is a stile on your left before you reach the corner. There is parking for one car on the drive and a second car can park on the street in front of the property (subject to availability).
