The cottage is situated in Maiden Newton, a historic village on the River Frome with some great restaurants and pubs. A wonderful spot for nature lovers and walkers, the village also has excellent transport links, with a train station on the Gloucester-Weymouth line, allowing you to explore Avon, Gloucestershire and Somerset as well as the picturesque surroundings of the Dorset countryside. Entering this lovely, terraced property, the hallway leads you through to the cosy lounge which features plenty of seating, a TV and a wood burner set in an original fireplace. The delightful snug/diner is perfect for enjoying a family meal and has an additional TV. The light, stylish kitchen is fully equipped for preparing your favourite meals. Upstairs, the cottage has three traditional, restful bedrooms: two doubles (one with en-suite shower room) and a small double room suitable for an adult or two children. There’s also a stylish bathroom with a roll-top bath and separate shower. The fully enclosed garden is a pretty space with a lawn bordered by a long flower bed, and with a small patio and outdoor furniture for relaxing in the afternoon. Nearby attractions and landmarks include the Cerne Abbas Giant (5.5 miles), Hog Cliff National Nature Reserve (3.5 miles) and Maiden Castle (10 miles). The thriving market town of Dorchester, renowned for its links with Thomas Hardy, is within easy reach (8.5 miles), or you could head to the coast, with Weymouth (17 miles) and West Bay (13.5 miles) just a short drive away.
