Comfortable home at the foot of the South Downs and within walking distance of Charleston Farmhouse and the quintessentially English villages of Firle, Glyndebourne, Berwick and Alfriston. The accommodation is an attached annex, offering parking and partial garden access, with countryside views. Split over two floors, with a fully equipped, open plan kitchen diner and bathroom on the ground floor, two twin / double rooms and a single bedroom and bathroom on the first floor. Lovely spacious annexe with lovely countryside views
Absolutely beautiful place to stay, right at the foot of South Downs. Charleston farm house 5 mins walk away. Stunning villages and views within easy walking distance. The house was lovely, comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated. The hosts were extremely helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this place, for a wonderful peaceful holiday in the countryside.
This is a quirky annex attached to Charlotte’s house. The setting is wonderful just at the foot of the Downs and walking distance from Charleston. We visited to go to Glyndebourne and it was perfect. Went for a lovely walk up Firle Beacon. The house is very well equipped and there were lovely touches eg flowers on the table and wine in the fridge. Charlotte popped round to check we were OK and made herself available if needed. We would definitely stay again if coming to the area.

Spent a couple of nights at the place with my wife, two children and our puppy. Was very comfortable and set in beautiful surroundings.

Within easy reach of the quintessentially English villages of Firle, Alfriston and Berwick. Situated within the South Downs National Park, with direct access to the South Downs Way. Alfriston is a 7km walk East and Firle is a 40 minutes walk, along public footpaths.
Charleston Farmhouse is a stroll away.
Middle Farm (3mins drive) offers a comprehensive farm shop, with a butcher, cheese shop, baked goods and cider shop, tea rooms and children petting farm.
For children, Drusilla's Park is 3 miles east, along the A27. Knockhatch Adventure Park, a dry ski slope and high ropes course are all within a 20 minute drive.
The historic town on Lewes is a 10min drive, offering restaurants, supermarkets, antique shops, independent cinema, leisure centre and a train station - just over an hour to central London.
There is parking for two cars directly outside the annex.
Trains to Lewes and Glynde, with a taxi or (during operating hours) Flexibus service to bring you to Charleston for just 2GBP per person (booking required via Ride Pingo App)
