We brought from the USA, our Family of 13 (23-83 years old), to Lisheen Castle. The Castle was most amazing and everyone was so impressed by how beautiful and unique it was. The only regret is that we didn't spend enough time enjoying the Castle as we were exploring Ireland each day! Lisheen Castle was by far the best place we could have booked for our family as we enjoyed each night by the fire, playing cards or outside playing tennis or 4 square. The location is really in a very nice spot, right in the middle of the country, making it convenient to get to Dublin, Cork, Clare, Galway, and Kilkenney. As far as the inside of the castle; it is exactly as Zane describes, plus, the beds are comfy and there is plenty of room to spread out. The grounds are beautiful and best of all the Castle was very clean! We would definitely recommend to anyone looking for an amazing Castle experience and someday we hope to return.
Rented this stunning castle for my mums birthday with family and friends. It is absolutely breathtaking!! Not only are the interiors beautiful and luxurious, the castle is warm and cozy and comfortable! There was lots to do with bikes to cycle around the grounds, a brand new tennis court, Devils Bit hike nearby. Zane was very helpful and lovely to deal with. Every guest left the castle saying it was the best trip ever! Everyone should do this luxury trip at least once in their life.
It's hard to say what the best location is for Ireland. There's so much to see, do and experience all over the island. I feel that the location was pretty central to allow our group to do activities that best suited them on the various days, and it worked out really well, reserving Dublin for just travel days. We enjoyed the experience, animals (cows next door) and amenities of the castle as well as the information, history, and recommendations Zane was able to provide.
Our family had a wonderful time and made wonderful memories at Lisheen Castle. Zane was very welcoming and friendly. He was just a phone call away to help us with anything we needed! An amazing host of a lovely castle and out trip was extra special because of it!

Hi I'm Zane, and I am listing the beautiful Lisheen Castle in County Tipperary, Ireland, my family are local dairy farmers who purchased the castle in 1994 and took on the entire restoration of the castle from ruin, the castle had been burnt down in 1921 and lay in ruin until the restoration project began in 1996, the is now fully restored and we have been renting the castle to groups since 2000, apart from rentals we also offer tour packages, details can be seen on the Lisheen Castle website.
