The property was great. We had Christmas there and there were 11 of us. The house provides enough utensils and equipment needed to make our Christmas dinner which was great. The hot tub was lovely. The only problem we had was we had a few elderly people with us and you aren't able to control the heating so if you go in the winter try and take a portable heater with you as when the heating is not on we found it very cold. Also, the fireplace was lovely we assumed we could use it to heat the room as there are no signs not to use it but be careful as you will be charged for using the firewood. I got deducted £50 off my good housekeeping deposit for using the firewood and breaking one knife by accident which I replaced. It's a shame that there was a deduction in receiving my deposit back as we left the place in perfect condition with all the rubbish taken out we hoovered and didn't even leave one dirty dish in the sink.
The hamlet of Adsett is situated close to the Royal Forest of Dean, England's largest oak forest and an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Just a short drive away, in the historic waterfront city of Gloucester you will find Roman foundations, Victorian Docklands and a Norman Cathedral. A little further afield, visit the market town of Ross-on-Wye, with timbered Tudor houses and excellent shops, pubs and restaurants, in the heart of rural Herefordshire. The Severn estuary, famous for its tidal bore, is a delight for bird watchers, wildlife enthusiasts and bore surfers alike.
