We loved the Suminski Innski. We stayed there because it's close to Bard and we were visiting our daughter there. It's less then 10 minutes from Bard Campus. We loved the rambling funky old mansion feel; Tim was really responsive when we had questions; and Tivoli has great places to eat.

My stay at the Suminski Innski was so much more special than I could have imagined. The whole inn, as well as the community Tim has created, was so wonderful. The warm communal feeling is so unique here. Tim is also an impeccable host, very caring and responsive, and made sure guests were taken care of with breakfasts, tea, snacks, everything to make me feel at home. The inn and its big porch also open right onto the Hudson River, which made for very magical views. It's also a very short drive from downtown Tivoli, so really an ideal location. Can't recommend enough!

The Sumiski Innski and Tim were beyond wonderful. My partner and I are both artists and it was as if we had found a home away from home. We love the eclectic atmosphere of the large house. The other guests were friendly and fun to talk to as well. Tim was always available to answer questions and took the time to get to know us. We stayed in a large room on the first floor with a big bathroom. The room had stunning artwork and a comfortable bed. I had a great night sleep for the three nights that we stayed there. This is definitely a place that I would enjoy staying in while visiting our son at the local college. Tivoli is close enough to Bard that it isn't difficult to drive over for a short visit and then return to rest, walk around Tivoli and enjoy some good company around the fire pit with Tim and his other guests. The stunning view from the Inn is all river and hills. If you want a super friendly/ arty vibe and a fantastic breakfast stay here. Tim is a fantastic host!

Historic home in a beautiful setting. We were greeted by Layla, a long-term resident who was in communication with Tim, and who told us he had upgraded our room. The walls of the home are decorated with artwork, both modern and vintage and the furnishings are a mix of antiques and more current pieces. The residents we met were friendly and made us feel very welcomed. It was peaceful to sit on the front porch overlooking the river with a cup of tea in the evening.
