A traditional English cottage situated in the beautiful village of Stockcross a stones throw from Newbury racecourse, The Elcot Retreat and the beautiful canal. Fantastic walks and views surround you to relax and unwind or hop on the train to Oxford or London in no time. The cottage boasts spacious gardens perfect for BBQs and yoga in the summer. The fireplace is at the heart of the home where you can enjoy playing board games with friends and family. A large dining room table and kitchen for your guests to spend the evenings enjoying delicious food and conversation. One main bathroom and an en suite accompany the two double bedrooms and one single. Low ceilings with exposed beams create the cosiest of homes.

Really nice house just outside Newbury

A quiet village surrounded by canal walks and pubs. Our lovely post office serves coffee and cakes and has all the essentials you could need. Newbury racecourse is nearby and you are a 10 minute drive from the train station. We are a ten minute drive or taxi to The Elcot Retreat Hotel , The Vineyard and walking within a mile to the local Red House pub. Highclere Castle ( Downton) , city of Winchester & town of Marlborough all within 30 mins . Welford Park for snow drop walks and the North Downs way are all in the locale. Sushi & Spanish Tapas are available in Newbury for the foodies and we have two theatres locally as well , and a couple of local Vineyards.
The local bus into Newbury runs every hour and you are 1 minute from the bus stop. The local taxi firm can take you into town in just a few minutes.
