If you’re looking for a tranquil area of the island, this place is for you. Away from the craziness of the north end, but yet accessible to any place on the island in 10 minutes by taxi or golf cart. Condo was spacious and clean. We spend alot of time in the shared pool for relaxing. There are a few restaurants/bars within a quick walk as well, which was very convenient Had minor issues with communicating with owners via the app, didn’t seem to be receiving their responses. But all worked out okay.

We loved our stay at Casa Bonita! My family of 4 stayed in the #6 Caracoles condo and it was super comfortable and spacious. We saw the most beautiful sunsets and enjoyed having meals in the dining room, living room and patio with the gorgeous views. The property is quiet and not crowded and almost always had the pool to ourselves. The only drawbacks I would say are that although there is a small “beach” area it is more suited for snorkeling where you can find many sea creatures so we had to venture out for beach time. Also beware of the mosquitoes - bring or buy some insect repellent. Otherwise, it was a wonderful relaxing stay!

Casa Bonita is a small condo complex, adjacent to a private casita (also part of the complex) on the southwest side of the island. The pool facility is quite nice, but there is only a small strip of beach to access. Adjacent/nearby beaches are private and not accessible/not allowed from Casa Bonita. That said, it is delightfully private and quiet...not at all like central and north parts of the island--which are definitely a "mini Cancun." Suite facilities are nice. Clean sheets, towels, etc. Kitchen has all tools you need to cook for yourself, but be aware that nothing is provided as an "essential pantry"--not even salt or pepper. Staff were very nice! The south side of Isla Mujeres is most definitely the more luxurious/higher end area with fewer trinket shops/restaurants but cabs are easy (and cheaper!) than renting one of the ubiquitous golf carts. If you're able, walking is the way to go--flat, mostly good sidewalks--bring good shoes! Would definitely stay again!

My teen boys & I loved our stay at Casa Bonita. We were unit 6, Caracoles, a 2 bedroom apartment is just like the photos. Very spacious with 2 king bedrooms & 3 full bathrooms. Sofa is large enough for multiple adults to lounge comfortably and the view from the main rooms, even from the sofa, is spectacular. Spotlessly clean. The kitchen is extremely well stocked - great for cooking meals. Large covered terrace with dining table and seating. A large shared pool, and a private boat dock and beach that we swam and snorkeled from. They provided high quality linens, incl large beach towels and the beds were comfy. Lots of storage and they provide water jug. If you want to visit lots of bars and walk to all meals, this isn't the place for you. We chose this off the beaten path location for it's peacefulness and it was perfect. Lots of restaurants nearby on golf cart, and a few in walking distance. Can't recommend more highly for a relaxing family holiday on gorgeous Isla.
