Welcome to The Overlook Loft at Nye Beach! Enjoy our beautiful home in this one of a kind, artistically designed Loft located in the true Heart of Nye Beach! This special place looks out from the entire top floor onto the rooftops and Nye Beach happenings below. Fresh ocean breezes and miles of sandy beaches are just steps away! A perfect place for a couples getaway, a girlfriend's retreat or for a memorable family vacation. Due to the Coronavirus outbreak we are taking additional steps to professionally sanitize with antiviral-antibacterial agents all door knobs, light switches, remote controls, thermostats, cabinet drawer handles, etc. All bedding and linens are washed with bleach on the hottest settings. "The Overlook" offers a Hip-Urban Northwestern feel (approx. 2,400sf) and features three bedrooms, two baths, a fully furnished kitchen with high end kitchen appliances, a large eating bar, custom countertops, a beautiful gas fireplace with seating around, walk -in showers, a custom slider barn door, and a specially designed "garage door" which opens up into the master bedroom. Other custom features include specialty accent lighting, loft exposed ductwork, a private back deck and front deck that looks out at a glimpse of the ocean and the quaint Nye Beach rooftops. Sit out on the back deck with your morning coffee while listening to the seagulls and foghorn in the distance or cuddle up with a book on the couch or gas fireplace seating. Soak in the warm bath, enjoy a movie or a variety of books and board games in the third bedroom / bunk room. Step out from "The Overlook" and explore all that Nye Beach has to offer. Turn left and you are truly steps away from Panni's bakery. Turn right and sit out on the patio at Nana's Pub and enjoy your favorite microbrew , walk across the street and enjoy wine tasting, stroll down the street and check out the Archway shops and boutiques. Directly below "The Overlook" has the best local art gallery in town, For Artsake ! Within 500 feet you are walking distance to either The Performing Arts Center and best kids playground (which sports the longest boat slide you've ever seen), a multitude of restaurants, boutiques, art galleries, big waffle ice cream cones and yummy candy treats, microbrew pubs, and most importantly, miles and miles of sandy beaches just waiting for YOU...

Michelle's Loft is the perfect space for anyone looking for a great coastal experience. The Loft is well designed, comfortable and clean. The location offers plenty of walkable options for restaurants, shops or the beach. We are already considering another visit in the near future.
The best place to be if you want to stay in Nye Beach! Tons of shops right down the road, and so is the beach! Everything you need is in walking distance. Host was very responsive and checked in with us as well. 10/10 would stay here again!

The Nye Beach neighborhood is a historic and hip place which was once known for it's Sanitorium hot sea salt water baths and cottages where families would gather for the summers to enjoy. Now this special neighborhood has become the gem of the Oregon Coast. It has so much to offer for people of all ages and interest.
From "The Overlook" you are walking distance to all that Nye Beach has to offer... from your morning coffee at Panni's bakery, Nana's Pub live music, Nye Creek Tap Room, Performing Arts Center, amazing kids play park, fine dining restaurants to casual seafood dining, yummy sweet treats, specialty boutiques and gift shops, and beautiful local art galleries.
Our famous Bayfront, which is about a five minute drive, offers everything from public fishing docks, a multitude of fresh seafood, unique gift shops and our favorite visit to watch the barking sea lions lying out on the docks.
Cross the bridge and visit our World Famous "Rogue" Micro Brewery, go clam digging at our favorite spot under the Yaquina Bridge, take the kids to search for tiny dungenous crabs, visit our beautiful Marine Hatfield Science Center which offers everything from tide handling pools, marine life films, and educational centers. Then spend the afternoon at the Oregon Coast Aquarium, home of "Keiko" for many years. Head north and visit the Yaquina Lighthouse, museum, and tide pools. Tour the lighthouse, hike up to the top of the bluff and look out over our beautiful gigantic Pacific Ocean....
Does life get any better than this ?
Parking space is provided for our guests in the garage. We ask that our guest use extra caution when crossing the sidewalk path when entering and exiting onto the street. Please be aware that the parking area is a tight squeeze and to be aware of other tenants cars and the building's support beams when parking. Public parking is located across the street with no limits on 1st St., 2nd St. and limited parking on 2nd Ct., all of which are within a 3-5 min. walk. The Performing Arts Center which is a 5 min walk south has plenty of parking available and has an awesome playground connecting to it. Public transportation also is available within the neighborhood. Newport is my home town that I hold near and dear to my heart! I grew up here and have watched it develop and grow into a special place which has so much to offer for people of all ages and interests. In fact, my amazing Mom had the vision years ago that "Nye Beach" would be the "happening place" in Newport. She was the first in town to start nightly/weekly vacation rentals among her artistically designed homes. Wow ... was she right! Fast forwarding 30 + years... Here I am, proud to carry on her legacy and doing so with "The Overlook" at Nye Beach, in which she designed and built. My hope is that you, too, fall in love with this special place and take with you many beautiful memories shared with your family and friends. Currently living in the Portland area, my family enjoys spending our holidays and summers hiking the high desert mountains in Central Oregon, soaking up that Hawaiian sunshine while escaping our Oregon winter rains, riding horses at the base of the Teton's in Wilson Wyoming and helping the family with their fun-filled paddle board business.
