The apartment of 120 m2 has: a large living room with fireplace; a large kitchen with electric stove, refrigerator, washing machine, dishwashing machine; three twin beds rooms each with private bathroom; a large porch with a view over the valley; private garden with BBQ. I Gergoni is the right place to spend a serene holiday, in a sound and quiet environment, close to historic cities rich in art (Rome and Florence can be reached by train in around one and a half hours) as well as small untouched medieval villages. Here you can blend relaxation, outdoors activity and culture according to your wish. Our place is located near Monteleone di Orvieto, a small village in the Chiana valley, on a hill rich in oaks, from the centuries old oaks that surround the houses, to those that populate the nearby woods. It was in the old times a lively farm, secluded on the top of a small hill, with houses for farmers and workers as well as stables for horses and barns for cows. Nowadays the houses have been converted to host guests with all the comfort of modern times, while keeping the charm and style of the old tradition. We have four apartments, obtained by restoring the typical old stone buildings, are carefully and completely furnished using vintage furniture creating an intimate and personal environment. Die Unterkunft von Carlo und Paola bietet alles was das Herz begehrt. Die Wohnung ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und die Anlage noch schöner als auf den Bildern. Wir wurden persönlich und sehr herzlich von unseren Gastgebern empfangen und konnten uns jederzeit bei Fragen oder Anliegen an die beiden wenden.
Wir hatten eine großartige Zeit bei Carlo und Paola. Die Wohnung und die Anlage sind noch viel schöner als auf den Fotos. Das Anwesen liegt in absolut traumhafter Lage. Sehr ruhig aber nicht weit zu Restaurants und Supermärkten. Carlo und Paola sind super nett, hilfsbereit und unkompliziert Die Wohnung ist großzügig geschnitten und weitaus besser ausgestattet als typische Ferienwohnungen.
L'Agriturismo I Gergoni è composto da quattro casette finemente ristrutturate, ognuna con una sua individualità e comunque ben separate a garantire privacy, pur nel contesto di un magnifico giardino comune. La nostra casa godeva di una grande cucina veramente comoda con enorme finestrone sulla valle, solttino con camino e tre belle camera da letto ognuna con bagno. Carlo e sua moglie sono ottimi padroni di casa, che sanno trasmetterti l'entusiasmo per la loro scelta di vita campestre !
We enjoyed our stay with Carlo and Paola for 7 days in June at casa Maria. They are warm and very inviting people. The space is relatively clean and is as described in the photos, it's value corresponds with what to expect; a rustic Umbrian experience. Their place is best reached by car. Communication with our hosts was excellent and quick. They did their best to provide us with anything we requested and very quickly. The kitchen is very large with a wonderful view and plenty of space to cook and prepare food. There is an adjoining terrace from the kitchen, perfect for any meal or just relaxing. There is also a large swimming pool at the top of the property a short walk from the house. A special memory of their place is at night; watch for the entire hill side covered with fireflies, something that is rare to see these days. We definitely recommend their place to those looking for a peaceful and quiet experience closer to nature and away from the hustle bustle, thank you for hosting our family!
Beautiful and spacious apartment with lovely views of the Umbrian countryside! Very nice and private outdoor dining area. Good location near many charming towns and villages. Carlo and Paola were fantastic and very welcoming hosts. And their restaurant tips were invaluable!

It's located at about 500 meters above sea level, on the mountains that divide the territory of Orvieto from the territory of Città della Pieve; it is set over a rocky headland that for three sides overhangs the Chiani valley.
Due to these natural characteristics, round the 10th century, Orvieto choose the area to build a stronghold to defend his northern border.
Built with red bricks, Monteleone keeps untouched the middle age plant and structure of a fortified village.
In a short distance you can visit Orvieto, Città della Pieve, Montepulciano, Pienza, Montalcino, Arezzo, Perugia, Assisi, Todi, Siena.
Easily reachable in one and a half hour train trip are Rome and Florence.
