Idyllic garden flat within 2 minutes walk of Standen National Trust. Cosy and comfortable, with thoughtful Arts & Crafts touches, this is the ideal space from which to explore the attractions of West Sussex, including the Bluebell Railway, and is within easy reach of Gatwick, Brighton and London. The flat has its own separate entrance and is completely self-contained. The private patio area overlooks the gardens, and is perfect for eating outside or just relaxing. Secure private parking. The main bedroom, with lovely views over the valley and woodland belonging to Standen National Trust, has a comfortable kingsize bed which can be separated to form 2 x 3' twins if preferred. The kitchen / sitting room - with a bay window overlooking the patio and garden - includes a wide sofa bed to sleep up to 2 extra adults easily, and includes fridge, hob & micro/oven. A large modern bathroom, with bath and separate shower, completes the garden flat.

We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay at Standen Lodge over the weekend. The apartment is a good size for two and very well appointed. Exactly as shown in the details. We enjoyed a visit to Standen House (NT) with great walks and a couple of wonderful meals out, at Gravetye Manor and the Cat Inn at West Hoathly. Highly recommended.
What a lovely beautiful place to stay! It’s clean and quiet and a place to restore your batteries. I went for daily bicycle rides and walks in the nature. The garden is stunning. Sue is a wonderful woman and she helped with anything I needed like doing our laundry and even giving me a lift to town. Thanks for this wonderful stay in your lovely home.
The perfect spot for our weekend trip - fantastic being moments from Standen House and the flat was brilliant - Susie had a lovely cot set up for our daughter and a highchair, all really appreciated. We could definitely have stayed longer!
we had a brilliant time at Susie's. The place was cozy, comfy and had everything we need. Luxury bedding, small extra touches like tea, coffee and some treats for breakfast. Susie was very friendly and welcoming and we would love to cone and stay again. We had a couple of days of exploring the area, enjoyed walking in the woods, eating tasty food at the local pub and recharging our batteries. Susie kindly gave us a lift to the station too :) Thank you!

East Grinstead is a pretty market town on the borders of West Sussex, Surrey & East Sussex. Standen is 2 miles south of the town, and is surrounded by beautiful countryside including the famous Ashdown Forest, and numerous lovely walks from the back door!
The Bluebell Railway runs from East Grinstead to the south, while mainline trains to London are frequent.
Standen is 10 miles from Gatwick Airport, and close to the M23 / M25.
Parking is at the front or rear of the property. There is also a bus service into East Grinstead at the end of the road, and Susie is often around to offer lifts!
