The Old Coach House at Nettlebridge originally dates from the 1800s and has been recently and lovingly restored by the current owners to provide a comfortable, modern home whilst still retaining much of the original character. Practical considerations such as a superfast broadband connection with free WIFI, a well-equipped kitchen, a bright and spacious family room, and a separate snug for those who want to find a bit of extra peace and quiet, ensure the perfect home-from-home experience.

Had a wonderful 3-day break. Lovely Barn conversion in a quiet and peaceful setting with nearby walks. Great facilities, with collections of books and board games, as well as an excellent guide book. Caroline was fantastic and lovely to meet, as were the Llamas! I would recommend putting at least a day aside at the location to relax, meet the animals and explore the local nature reserve.
We had a fabulous holiday at the Old Coach House. Its a great location for families with lots to do near by (20 minutes to Wells, within 30 mins of Cheddar Gorge, Longleat and Bath, 50 mins to the beach) lots of attractions included with our Blue Peter Badge too! The cottage itself made for an easy and relaxing holiday with good amenities. Caroline has really thought about what to include too to avoid us having to pack too much. The girls loved all the games and games room. The llamas were an absolute highlight and have been the topic of conversation with our girls ever since they first met!
Lovely location, house is immaculate with loads of useful stuff available, it’s quiet, the rooms are equipped to a high standard. Caroline is an exceptional host, quick responses, good planning making the arrival seamless and stress-free, and the llamas are the icing on the cake. Will definitely rebook next time we’re in the area!
A lovely property, which was just as described. Kitchen well stocked, rooms clean and comfortable/ cosy. Playbarn and snug an added perk to the property. Host was brilliant at communication, friendly, helpful and accommodating with arranging for us to visit the Llamas which the kids thoroughly enjoyed. Wouldn’t hesitate recommending to friends to book.

Nettlebridge is a rural hamlet, on the edge of The Mendips, in Somerset, with a long history of farming and mining. There are five award-winning pubs serving great food and a very useful and friendly CO-OP store for essentials, all within a quick, 5-minute drive.
The Old Coach House is situated between two nature reserves, yet is within easy reach of a wide range of towns, attractions and activities. We are in a rural, but not isolated position.
For walkers, we have some excellent trails to explore across the valley and beyond, or you can stay local and wander through the woods on the doorstep - explore with their streams, nooks and It is the perfect location for you to relax, unwind and refresh
The cottage has private, off-road parking for two cars, on a gravel driveway with a gated entrance which can be left open, or closed, whichever you prefer.
The property is best suited to guests arriving by car as Nettlebridge has no regular bus service.
The nearest train stations can be found at Castle Cary (12 miles), Bath (14 miles) or Bristol (18 miles).
