This place is gorgeous, the host was super responsive and gave great recommendations, good area with restaurants nearby. Host left us a bunch of goodies to eat and drink and fresh flowers. Be sure to watch the video of how to open the lock BEFORE getting there because it also shows where to park. If you have young kids, just be careful about the vases, mirrors, and paintings. My kids are 3, 5, and 7, and are well-behaved so it wasn't an issue. We will recommend this place to anyone going to Pittsburgh.
Beautiful house in great neighborhood. Stayed with family of 5 (3 teens) and plenty of space for everyone to spread out and great common areas to spend time together. Bedrooms are spacious and the master bath is AMAZING. Easy walk to restaurants/coffee shop/grocery stores. Very safe neighborhood. Would definitely stay again.
Anything we could possibly want or need was provided. Rick was very responsive and attentive to all of our questions/comments. Great location, great place. Would definitely recommend staying here!

The East End is one of the most vibrant areas of Pittsburgh. This home places you directly in the middle of it and you can walk to just about anything you need. You're to Kelly’s and across the street from Trader Joe’s, Giant Eagle Groceries, Target and Starbucks. Whole Foods, Chipotle, Walgreens and one of Pittsburgh's largest wine and spirits stores are a 4 minute walk . A five to ten minute walk gets you to dozens of hotspot eateries, shops and landmarks on Highland, Ellsworth, Penn or Walnut.
You can have a drink at Lorelei or Margaux, snack on some macaroons from Paris 66, feast at Noodlehead and then meet some friends at Casbah or Mad Mex for a few laughs and a night cap.
If you're in the mood for ethnic cuisine – choices include Ethiopian, Thai, Mexican, Chinese and many other varieties, all minutes away. Pizza by the slice is available or you can have a fancy gourmet pizza with a paired glass of wine it's all a short walk.

You can park behind the house (rare in our area) and public transit is available in less than a block. You can catch buses at East Liberty Station across the street. Apps provide great directions for buses. Need to go downtown? The Shadyside and East Liberty busway access points are Both a minute away. Oakland, Squirrel Hill, Lawrenceville and just about any Pittsburgh location are accessible without transfer from the house. Finally, both Über and Lyft are available locally as well to get you where you need to go. They both pick up in the front of the house.
