terrible and unsafe location. Shooting one street away, couldn't get into the hotel and had to wait 30 mins to get into the hotel. Human feces on the concrete outside the hotel from the night before.....

The place is very clean, central and well maintained. The neighborhood is tough; very loud at night, parking is challenging and while it's walkable, you need to remain street smart. The beds could use some upgrading. All that being said, I would definitely come back.

The photos were clearly taken from "back in the day" when the neighborhood was flourishing. While the character of the building is wonderful, the condo was okay, but the original windows offer zero protection from outside noise. You hear every mode of transportation that goes by, as well as every detail of the conversations happening around the building (we were on the 4th floor). Our first morning we were awakened by the blood curdling screams of the homeless gal that was passed out next to the building the night before when we arrived. There was no hot water in the showers, so that is another great way to start your day. The surrounding neighborhoods are riddled with abandoned buildings and homeless camps. We thought we could walk to the convention center, and then did not feel safe after seeing what we drove through to get there. I got zero sleep the entire time we were there. Very unfortunate as the pictures look amazing.
