Maiden Rock Loft is located in the upper level of the Masonic building in the Maiden Rock, WI. Natural light, historic character and a view of Lake Pepin are yours to enjoy, along with all the amenities of a modern apartment. With over 1600 square of space and soaring ceilings, there is a sense of spacious that is both relaxing and inviting. The attention to detail during the recent renovation has retained the historic nature of the space, while showcasing the work of local artisans. Located on the shores of Lake Pepin, Maiden Rock Loft is a beautifully restored 1893 Masonic building apartment with artistic & up-cycled touches highlighted with an extraordinary view of the lake. This attractive and comfortable 1600 ft2 apartment features the work of local artisans, including custom inlaid concrete kitchen counter, white oak bar, douglas fir trestle table, custom upcycled light fixtures, reclaimed rustic barn wood bedroom furnishings and custom cabinetry throughout. A soaring 19th century pressed tin ceiling and original douglas fir flooring & trim and large windows showcase this artistic space beautifully. Modern appliances (gas range, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer) and new furnace & air conditioner create comfort and ease within this light filled historic space. If you're looking for more than just 'a place to stay' in the Lake Pepin Driftless area of Wisconsin, Maiden Rock Loft offers a lodging experience that simply glows with historic & artistic character, natural light and inviting comfort.

This was a perfect place for three of us visiting Maiden Rock for a wedding in rural Wisconsin. Kristina’s place was very comfortable, clean and roomy. I would definitely stay again if in the area!
Kristina’s place is gorgeous, even the great pictures do not do it justice. The refinished floors and high ceilings are beautiful, it’s spacious and clean, and appointed super well. Highly recommend!

Maiden Rock Loft is located on the Great River Road....one of the most scenic drives in the U.S. Lake Pepin can be viewed from the Loft and the many migratory birds (pelicans, tundra swans, eagles) can be seen making their way up and down the Flyway.
For hiking enthusiasts there are many beautiful areas. My favorite (and only 10' away) is Maiden Rock Bluff natural area. For cyclists, there are many scenic routes on the back roads. My favorite is a 10 mile loop in the Rush River Valley...parking is at the bridge on Hwy. 35 before entering the Village with the loop following Cty. A and 385 Street (both sides of the Rush River). For fly fishing enthusiasts, the Rush River can't be beat. Kayaking and sailing are also popular recreational activities available in the Lake Pepin area.
Weekend shopping can be found in Maiden Rock with The Nest and Cultural Cloth. Additional shopping opportunities abound downriver in the villages of Stockholm and Pepin.
For dining, my recommendations are Hop, Dish, Vine and Humble Moon in Stockholm and The Kingfisher in Durand (short, pretty drive). The music scene is also pretty vibrant in the area with bands playing regularly at the Six String Saloon (across the street) Liberty Tree Farm outside Maiden Rock, Humble Moon in Stockholm and Rivertime Wine Bar and The Pickle Factory in the Village of Pepin (check schedules on FB).
As an added option for guests, the host, Kristina, offers custom yoga classes in the Santosha Springs Yoga and Wellness studio located just below the Loft. Times and rates vary according to the request and number of guests attending. Contact Kristina via text with requests/questions.
There is plenty of street parking available in Maiden Rock. In addition, the local bank parking lot is open for parking on the weekends/holidays. Lake Pepin and the Village Park are within easy walking distance from MR Loft.
