The Cottage, at Journey Inn, an eco-retreat, is a cozy vacation rental home nestled in a beautiful secluded coulee (small valley), just three miles from Lake Pepin (the Mississippi River). We are also pet friendly! The Cottage provides an open floor plan with ample seating in the living room and kitchen. A large dining table allows for great meals and fun game times or a big puzzle for a rainy day. The two bedrooms each have a king size bed and one of the rooms has a desk if you have some work to do~ The full bath has everything you need and the large bathrrom through the french doors houses a whirlpool tub to relax in after a day of adventure.

The cottage at Journey Inn is lovely. Perhaps the cleanest AirBnB I've stayed in--the bedding is spotless, furniture is clean, new, and very comfortable, and you can tell that the bathrooms and kitchens are spotless! Jennifer and Brett have lovingly restored this place, and they've thought of everything--from all the new(!) tools you'd need to make and serve meals, fresh ground coffee, to hair towel wraps, and a special blanket for your dog. The location is so peaceful and beautiful, just up the bluff from Maiden Rock and surrounded by beautiful hills. They've made the most of their location with outside walking paths, a tranquility garden, and a short trek to the nearby brook with a swing. The property has a soaking tub, a huge library of books and dvds to use, bikes, walking sticks, and more. We brought our dog and a baby and the space was comfortable for all of us. While we stayed in the cottage, Jennifer showed us the BnB rooms, all of which were quite lovely!

You will wind back through beautiful country roads to get to the Cottage at the Journey Inn. We have a fresh water stream that connects to the Rush River. It is very quiet and peaceful here, you will hear many sounds of nature and not much else. There are some horses down the road as well as some long horn steer to gaze at - watch out for the free range chickens and as always, be on the lookout for deer!
We are what is affectionately known as The West Coast of Wisconsin - a series of great unique villages that pepper the Mississippi Valley Driftless Region. We are surrounded by majestic bluffs and lush valleys - in turn.. makes cell service spotty! Set your GPS before you go!
