The Carriage House was an absolute gem and the pictures did not do it justice. The inside looks like it has been professionally decorated, and everything you would need to cook meals was available in the kitchen. It was located in a quiet area with horses next door. We hope to return soon as it was such a treat.

Beautiful place, even better than the pictures. Kay was wonderful to work with. Not only close to downtown but very close to the High Bridge trail. Would stay again for sure. The porches are wonderful to enjoy the surroundings, especially at night with the fire table and the wine they surprised us with.

The Carriage House is exceptional. It’s beautifully decorated and very comfortable. There is a lovely gas fireplace for chilly nights that we used and a cute porch where we enjoyed our morning coffee. We found the kitchen to have everything we needed for making breakfast and a nice dinner. Kay provided great breakfast items for our stay and some additional treats to enjoy when we first arrived. The bed we slept in was comfortable and sheets are provided. The bathrooms are well stocked with plush towels, nice soaps and toilet paper. There is a washer and dryer if needed. Every room is spotless and you’re just minutes to Longwood and Main Street. Both of which was important to us. Wifi in the Farmville area can be hit or miss and downloads slow so patience is a virtue. Kay is proactive in her communication and a very gracious, caring and welcoming host. We loved our stay here and was able to get our daughter moved in on campus, now we look forward to visiting/staying here again soon!
