This cozy 3 bedroom ranch is the perfect blend of country living and small town appeal. You’d never know looking out at the rolling 2 acre lawn, beautiful pond and Chenango River waterfront that you are just a few minutes walk from the main street of Greene. Thirty minutes from Binghamton to the south and Norwich to the north, an hour from Ithaca, Syracuse, Elmira or Wilkes-Barre PA, you can get away from it all while still being a comfortable drive from so much. A true ranch home, once you are up the two steps into the home everything is on the same level (except one step down into the sun porch-but then it’s straight out onto the deck) The house includes a living room (with queen sleeper sofa), sun porch & deck, eat in kitchen, and three bedrooms. There is a full bathroom with tub off the hallway. The master bedroom has a queen bed and separate full bathroom with walk in shower. The second bedroom is furnished with an antique bedroom suite and features a full bed. The final bedroom is a combination bedroom/laundry room. It has a twin sized daybed with another twin bed in the trundle. The laundry appliances are sectioned off with a curtain, and the closet in that room has a hook and eye up high on the door so laundry chemicals can be secured away from any children. There is a TV in the living room, kitchen and bedroom/laundry room. All TVs are hooked to a roof antenna and get several local channels, the living room TV is a Roku smart tv.

Nana's House was just as described and pictured. It had everything we needed & more. Very nostalgic...felt just like I was at my own Nana's house! Jennifer was very responsive to messages.
Cute and cozy house. Felt like visiting grandma’s house. Jennifer gave us some great recommendations and responded fast to any questions we had. Would definitely stay again when coming into town to visit.
We went up during a snow storm. Jennifer reached out and offered to pave the driveway. Woulda been hard to get my car out otherwise. She also gave us a flexible checkout on account of the weather.

The home is situated on the edge of the village of Greene.
Although there is no sidewalk for the first 0.2 miles, you can easily walk to the Dollar General, Tractor Supply, Flea Market (Fri-Sun), Farmers Market (Wed 3-6, Sun 10-2), NBT Bank (24 hr ATM), and Bowling Alley (good burgers, beers & wings at the bar!)
Keep walking a bit farther along the sidewalk (0.8 miles or approx 15 min) and you’ll be in the center of charming Greene.
The village offers 6 restaurants (Trojan Deli, Patocka’s Gastro Pub, Bonnie’s diner, Foo Chow Chinese takeout, Magro’s Italian and just across the bridge Boudreau’s Bistro and ice cream shop) the Mirabito gas station also has deli sandwiches and good pizza.
There is a discount grocer (The New 5&10), arts & crafts Cooperative (The Shoppes at Switchblade), consignment shop (Resale 41), drugstore (Walgreens), music shop (Heros Music), a liquor store (Greene Spirits), EZ Mart market, 2 salons, massage therapy, a smoke shop and Hymn & Hawe (hard to categorize but a fun store full of vintage furniture, decor, gourmet groceries & more).
Just outside the village, minutes by car, are Brookside Antiques, The Wild Owl Cafe at Baron’s Inn,
The Moore Memorial Library is also in the center of town and has children’s programming (especially in the month of July), computers, and of course books.
Parking:
Please do not park in the grass.
Plenty of on site parking. There are three spots in front of the garage and additional vehicles can be parked along the driveway without blocking access.
A camper/RV would fit easily in the driveway, and there is a standard outdoor electrical outlet on the upright of the pole barn. There are no other hookups.
