A spacious cottage in the heart of Winsham, a South Somerset village on the borders of Somerset, Dorset and Devon. Paddock View provides a convenient base to visit the Jurassic Coast or just escape to the countryside and explore the local network of footpaths. Paddock View sits close to the centre of the village, is easy to find and accessible. The courtyard in front of the house provides off street parking and can easily accommodate 2 cars. It has recently been renovated to a very high standard, with new kitchen and bathrooms, new carpets upstairs, and underfloor heating to all the tiled floors downstairs. It retains a traditional cottage feel, but with all the modern conveniences. 2 BEDROOMS: There are 2 bedrooms, both with king sized beds. Bedroom 1 is downstairs, and Bedroom 2 is upstairs. While they are not ensuite, both bedrooms have bath / shower rooms adjacent to them. 2 BATHROOMS: There is a shower room downstairs (next to Bedroom 1) and a bathroom upstairs (next to Bedroom 2) with a thermostatic shower over the bath. LIVING ROOM: The living room contains three 2 seat sofas inc 38" TV with Freeview channels. With patio doors which lead out to the courtyard at the front of the house. Due to the rural location, our Wi-Fi is a bit slow, but OK for browsing the internet. Please bring a Chromecast or Firestick if you want to watch catch up TV or download films during your stay. KITCHEN / DINING ROOM The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven, induction hob, microwave, kettle and toaster. There is also a small built -in dishwasher and washing machine. Patio doors give access to a lawned area at the back of the house. COURTYARD: The courtyard provides ample space for parking and there is a pergola with table and chairs under cover, for eating outside.

Fantastic Cottage in a great location, Everything you need is supplied for you, A nice touch of fruit , biscuits, tea coffee and milk , and as we stayed over the Easter Some Easter Eggs as well. Spotlessly clean Brilliant Hosts I left my keys at the Cottage and Jane is sending them on to me.

Really helpful owners and very quick to respond to questions both prior to booking and during our stay. Beautiful cottage, great location, friendly village, well stocked community shop with friendly villagers too. Watched a local cottage getting new thatch over the week we were there too. Lots to see and do locally and easy to get Dorset, Devon or other areas of Somerset. Stayed with my elderly parents so the downstairs bedroom and bathroom were perfect for them giving them everything on one level.
A beautiful cottage in a peaceful rural village. There is a local community run shop / post office and also a pub, The Bell Inn which serves good food. Jane and Ian are very attentive and on hand to answer any questions. They have fully refurbished this property to a high standard and have thought of everything. It was extremely clean and some lovely touches - fresh fruit & flowers, wine and milk in the fridge. Wi-Fi in the property is good, excellent parking for at least 2 cars in a private gated courtyard area. It is well located to get to places like Crewkerne, Lyme Regis & Seaton. The kitchen facilities are excellent, with good instructions in the welcome booklet. There is large Waitrose supermarket in Crewkerne, about a 15 min drive. Thank you again Jane & Ian for allowing us to stay in your beautiful property and also for the home grown runner beans and tomatoes!

Winsham is a pretty village situated near the boundaries of South Somerset, Dorset and Devon. It is about 4 miles outside of Chard, on the road to Bridport (12 miles). Winsham is fortunate to have its own, village run, General Store and Post Office, and a pub, The Bell.
Local attractions include Lyme Regis and the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site, Charmouth, West Bay and Bridport. The Cricket St Thomas Estate, where "To the Manor Born" was filmed is nearby, as well as Forde Abbey, originally founded as a Cistercian Abbey, and now open to the public in the summer months.
Winsham is ideal as a base for walks in the beautiful rolling countryside. There are circular walks out towards the Cricket St Thomas Estate, Wayford Woods and Forde Abbey, and Winsham is on the Liberty Trail, a 28 mile footpath from Ham Hill in South Somerset to Lyme Regis in Dorset. Pilsdon Pen is nearby, and on the route of three long distance walking trails: The Wessex Ridgeway, Monarch's Way and The Jubilee Trail.
