We had a fantastic couple of nights. We really appreciated the later check out time on the Sunday. The cottage was beautifully appointed and equipped. It is spacious and beautifully decorated. The beds were really comfortable and the really big bathroom felt very luxurious. There are lovely walks from the cottage either along quiet lanes or over the fields. This is the perfect rural escape.
Great place!
We didn’t want to leave! We stayed in Atherstone as we had a week’s worth of commitments in Taunton, and wow - what an incredible cottage. From the moment we arrived we fell in love. It was immaculate, exactly as shown in the pictures & completely tranquil. The garden was large and extremely secure for our dogs, they loved the freedom and we felt so relaxed just letting them free. The house was spotless throughout with so much thought gone in to all the furnishings and offerings. A gorgeous goody basket greeted us, great bathrooms with fantastic roll top bath in the one, and the beds that you just sank in to. You are spoilt for choice with local dog walks and nearby National Trust locations, equally Taunton was only 25 minutes and Glastonbury was 45 mins/1 hour away which was great for a quirky day out. Ilminster nearby (10 mins) had all the amenities you needed for food shopping etc. We’re already looking to see how soon we can come back to Atherstone Farm Cottage! Thank you!
I would highly recommend this property, however long your stay you will be very comfortable! Ideal base for exploring Somerset
Atherstone Farm Cottage is a charming character cottage set in a peaceful, rural location. It is warm and welcoming with deep sofas for relaxing and very comfortable beds for peaceful sleep. There is a big dog-friendly garden and a lovely outdoor eating space. Overall, a very relaxing experience - the perfect place for a family getaway!
