The Garden Annexe is a cosy home, ideal for a few days’ getaway, summer or winter, for one or two people. Attractive waterside annexe with clear views to the lake; an oasis of tranquillity, while just a short walk beside the water leads to the village. This is a very tranquil spot, so if all you require is a few days of peace and quiet, rest and relaxation, The Garden Annexe could be your ideal solution. The main living area is quite roomy and bright and although the kitchen area is smallish, it is compact and has everything that guests should need. Please note though that the central heating boiler for the entire property is situated in the kitchen so you will hear it firing up when the hot water tap is turned on anywhere in the property. The shower room is quite roomy, but the bedroom is limited for space although there is just room for a 4ft. 6in. double bed. The settee does not convert into a bed and so this really is a one or two person property only.

We stayed here for a couple of nights to attend a wedding locally so we didn’t get to see the local area very much, but we’re really glad that we chose to stay here. Cherilyn was friendly and helpful throughout the booking process and to meet in person, and our questions and messages were always replied to in a helpful manner. The accommodation is wonderful. It’s very clean and tidy, and is wonderfully decorated and feels cosy and comfortable. We were very appreciative of the delicious cocktail pasties left for us on arrival, as well as a few essential supplies left in the fridge for a cup of tea!
Very clean, modern comfortable accommodation with a super comfy bed. Lovely view of the Lake. Good location for shops and pub. Nice touch with the pasties on arrival . Would recommend!
Cherilyn was a warm and welcoming host. We had some questions about the facilities which she answered promptly and was really helpful with letting us settle in undisturbed. The B&B was tidy and inviting as soon as me and my girlfriend arrived and we felt at home straight away! Local transport links to Plymouth were ideal and we loved our stay. We have stayed in many AirBnB properties over the years and found Cherilyn's to be first class in presentation, with excellent provision for all that you need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen utensils, china etc were especially well thought through. The bedding and towels were of high quality too. The location was very private and the view towards the lake was relaxing. Cherilyn's terraced garden at the back with many floral shrubs attracts a variety of birds to the feeders. Thank-you Cherilyn for making us feel so welcome.

Millbrook village is set amidst delightfully pretty coastal and countryside surroundings in an unspoilt area of outstanding natural beauty.
Roads tend to be very narrow in places. There is limited free parking along the road in front of the accommodation. However, there is paid car parking in the village if required. There is a bus that runs hourly from Millbrook into Plymouth via the small town of Torpoint, with stops in several places along the way such as the picturesque twin villages of Cawsand and Kingsand and at Tregonhawke Cliff along Whitsand Bay. There is another bus that runs from the village to Cremyll where the foot ferry will take passengers across the water to Plymouth. From here a 5 minute walk leads to the historic old victualling yards of the Royal William Yard, these days an ideal spot to catch another foot ferry to the historic and atmospheric Barbican in Plymouth, or to eat at one of the many restaurants/cafes/tapas bars in the yard itself. Alternatively on exiting the Cremyll ferry a walk straight ahead and slightly to the right will bring you to the number 34 bus stop where you can catch the bus into town. British visitors of a certain age - don't forget to bring your bus passes as you can do all your bus travelling for free.
There is also a local community bus that for reasonably small fees take passengers to various towns and trips, although these have to be booked in advance. If this is of interest to you, please ask when you get here.
