We had a week in May at Primrose Cottage, Porthleven and it was perfect. It’s in a lovely fishing harbour surrounded by beaches, cliffs and hillside walks. There are lots of cafés, bars and restaurants in Porthleven and it’s easy to visit other towns and villages from there by car. The cottage is very well appointed, with a great kitchen and a utility room. There were dishwashing tablets, washing up liquid, liquid hand soap and washing machine tabs too - very helpful! There’s lots of wardrobe space/drawers available in the big bedrooms. It’s a few minutes’ walk down into the harbour and all the lovely places to eat, have a drink or to just sit on a bench and watch the tide go in and out. We sat on the sun terrace at the cottage one afternoon, it’s a real sun trap. A lovely private space. We really enjoyed our stay in this spacious holiday home, it’s hard to find something wrong with Primrose Cottage!

We had a lovely stay in this cottage. On arrival there were scones, jam, milk, clotted cream and biscuits which were very welcome as we hadn't had a chance to get to a shop to get anything in for breakfast the next day, a really nice touch. Dishwasher and washing tablets were made available as well as clean scourer and cloth for any washing up. Rooms were comfortable and ensuite to master was very nice. The main bathroom is downstairs which may be an important factor to consider for others but this was no problem for our visit. Plenty of crockery etc but could do with a knife sharpener there as they were very difficult to use to cut even some cheese. It is a very short walk to the local shops, pubs, restaurants and the harbour so an ideal location. We will definitely return.
