After reading reviews on other sites we decided to take a chance and book with the expectation that previous issues would have been dealt with. Unfortunately the previous reviews were accurate. We did find that the house was in need of a good clean and were greeted with a very strong smell of damp and fust which sadly didn't really go away . The sofas in the lounge which were covered with throws were, I have to say inexcusable. It wouldn't cost much to change them and was disappointed that this lack of care and attention to detail did not occur to the owner which is a real shame as it really does let the house down. We didn't want to all sit together in the lounge due to the worn throws and bits of the faux leather from the sofa coming away and being tread all over the house. The downstairs shower did not work at all and the kitchen was dirty, however the bedding was decent quality and clean and the beds were comfortable. The location was excellent.
