Great space - a mix of farm house rustic with a modern, clean, and and tons of sunlight and space. The location was perfect for us because it is a close drive to Assateague, Ocean City, and Berlin.

This is a fabulous place to stay. The hosts have really created a great family space that is relaxing, beautiful, and functional. Even with cold, windy weather, my family had a great time—much because they loved the house. Assateague is only 20 mins away, and Ocean City maybe 25. Really, really high quality—well worth it.

LOVED staying at this beautiful home. It was so peaceful and inviting that I felt like it was our home. The fireplace really set the mood to relax in the evening. Clean, clutter, free with a contemporary farm feel. My son really enjoyed playing on the tree, the horse swing and wondering around the beautiful yard. We came there to hunt and explore Assateague and the house was perfect to accommodate everything we had to bring.

We loved our time here so much. We couldn’t stop talking about what a beautiful space it is and how wonderful it is to cook and gather here. It was a perfect place for family to dance together in the kitchen and enjoy a wood stove that made our NC mountain family plus Danish family all feel very at home and hygge. Access to Assategue and Ocean City was easy but the home was in a quiet place away from the bustle. Berlin, MD was also a really cute, old town-only 5 minutes away. yge. We hope to return!!

My family of 7 (2 are dogs) had a great visit. Berlin was super cute. We really liked On What Grounds Cafe. Assateague Island was very close by and did not disappoint. The Shire was really well set up, clean, comfy. Modern conveniences. The neighbors were very nice. I walked the dogs at a park nearby. It was great for us even though it rained for most our stay. Even in the rain, it was great!
