Only 10 minutes from groomed snowmobile trails - bask in the beauty of Highlands East at our newly-renovated lakefront cottage. We have lovingly transformed this picturesque cottage into a year-round sanctuary, complete with a luxurious six-person hot tub overlooking the tranquil waters of Esson Lake. Whether you're here to have fun in the snow in a winter wonderland or soak up the summer sun, our 3-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom haven ticks all the boxes for an idyllic getaway. Set lakeside in gorgeous surroundings, the 3 bedroom, 1.5 bathroom cottage has been beautifully and lovingly renovated to offer tranquil, relaxed country living. Convenience is key - from the parking area, a wooden walkway leads to the entrance. The yard is ringed by trees, and has a firepit. The home is split over two levels, and you will enter on the main level. On the main level (upstairs) you will find a spacious open-plan living and dining area, chef’s kitchen, and half bathroom. The space is great for social gatherings, offering comfortable couches, an 8-seater dining table, wood-burning stove, TV with complimentary Netflix, and large windows overlooking the lake. This level also has a wooden deck with gas BBQ. The three bedrooms are located downstairs, as well as a bathroom with shower. This level also has a 850 sq ft entertainment deck with an 8-seater table, conversation set, and hot tub. This deck can be reached from the main bedroom, upstairs deck via a staircase, or from the outside. From the bottom deck, the property slopes down towards the lake and dock. For your convenience, the dock, fire pit, and lake can be accessed via gently angled stairway.

If you’re looking for a clean, beautiful cottage look no further. Greg was an amazing host, extremely informative and transparent. Any tips you can think of, Greg had it covered. Cottage was modern, had everything you would need and most importantly clean. The deck was a highlight for us, hot tub with a view with of the lake was relaxing. Do not hesitate to book, we had an unforgettable stay!
We had a lovely week-long stay at Greg's cottage. The online guidebook was first-rate — very thorough and well-organized. The cottage was exactly as described, well-equipped with comfortable beds, thoughtful decor, and a lovely setting on the water. The kitchen had all the dishes and equipment you need, and there was lots of storage space to unpack for a longer stay. At the front of the house (looking to the road), you are closer to the neighbours than you might imagine from the photos, but at the back (looking at the water) it feels quite secluded and private. The hot tub is very nice, the internet is very fast, and we found it quite cozy even when it was cold outside. Overall, it's a fantastic place and we would actively look to come back to this cottage in future.

Greg was an amazing host. Great communication, easy check in and check out. A beautiful cottage indeed! Right on the waterfront, hot tub out back. The house was well stocked with all you need to host a homemade meal. Clean, organized. Comfy! All the things I was looking for to getaway for my birthday! And bonus, pet friendly! I would definitely consider coming back. Thank you for having us.

Essen Creek Lane is a quiet neighbourhood, with waterfront cottages set along a quiet, winding country lane.
While you may spot other visitors on the lake and catch the occasional glimpse of a neighbour, our cottage is surrounded by trees, offering you privacy.
You may feel secluded and far removed from the hustle and bustle of city life, but you are only a 5-minute drive from the Wilberforce Foodland, LCBO, and eateries.
Our cottage is set on Essen Creek Lane, a quiet, winding country lane, accessed from the Essonville Line.
From Esson Creek Lane, the property is reached via a sloped driveway. There is parking for two vehicles on the property. An additional parking area is available about halfway down the driveway on the right hand-side.
Please note in the winter, the driveway may get iced over. Please use caution when entering or exiting the property.
