This is my first unsatisfactory review and I certainly don’t give it lightly. The bedroom had a very strong dead animal smell. We couldn’t locate where it was coming from and we contacted the owner to ask her to call us. She did not do so. I was not provided with any contact phone number and my repeated requests for contact via phone went unanswered. The owner sent a cleaner to the house who advised that there was a dead possum in The roof and the smell was ongoing and they were aware of it. We were offered a reed diffuser. I was pretty unimpressed that the home would be rented for 260 bucks a night with a dead animal in the roof. This occurred at 9pm so it was really upsetting. We left the property at 10pm. As a side note, the house is poorly stocked- limited furniture, only one glass ( extra dropped off when I asked) and no linen for the extra blankets. Carpets dirty and very stained. Don’t recommend:

We spent a few nights here and used it as a base to explore the Barossa valley. Location is brilliant, central but quiet, and it’s nice to have a drink on the verandah overlooking vineyards. A couple of small things that could be improved: There was no hand soap/wash in the bathroom. No milk supplied so tea and coffee had to be black. There is a washing machine but no powder/capsules supplied. TV isn’t a smart TV so stuck watching free to air and ads if you want to watch a movie at night.

nice place in a great location, nice quiet and seculded place which was what we were after. bed was extremely comfortable and had a lovely sleep

Beautiful views, photos didn’t do justice The winery situated next to the property is now closed which was disappointing to find out as it’s mentioned in the booking. Also don’t remember seeing in the ad that the cottage next door was literally next door, with only a wall between us and they’re were guest there so didn’t feel as private as it said, could hear the other guest snoring through the walls, no aircon or fan in the bedroom, there is aircon in the main area but could definitely do with a fan in the bedroom. Worth the stay for the picturesque views and little escape, would stay again if booked out both cottages next time :)

Gorgeous, peaceful location to base your Barossa explorations from. Comfortable bedding and great shower head makes you feel at home
