This was the perfect place for us to stay for the eclipse. The house was clean, comfortable, and charming with extra space in the barn for four adults and a dog to spread out. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and eat in. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the morning sun with the view and sound of the river. We also liked the easy walk across the covered bridge to the General Store. Our host, Maggie, was very responsive when we had questions and offered suggestions for places to view the eclipse. Be mindful that you need to climb steep stairs to get to the upstairs bedroom in the house and the loft bedroom in the barn. This was not a problem for our group. We hope to return for a longer stay in the future!

Beautiful home with antique details, cozy atmosphere and unique architectural details both inside and outside. A short 5 minute walk takes you through a covered bridge down Main Street to a wonderful store- Warren General Store- where you will find wine and beer along with snacks, delicious pastry’s and store made food. Super cute location and views.

The house was even better than we thought it would be. The main house and kitchen were great, and the barn provided the perfect spot to hang out and relax. Loved it!

What a great place! Close to the mountain. Right on the bank of the Mad River by a covered bridge. And we loved using the detached barn as our hang out in the evenings after skiing with a great big TV to watch the Super Bowl. Excellent place.

This is a beautiful well maintained historic cabin and barn, with a number of modern updates. Given the age, it is on the smaller size, in just about every regard, but you don't rent this place because you expect to spend all your time in the home - in the winter you should be driving the 5 minutes to Sugarbush and in the summer you should be hanging out in the woods or on their terrace. Two words of warning (1) the main bed is a double, so it can get a little cramped for two people. With that said, there are tons of beds around the home. (2) Except for the double bed, all other beds require going up either a ladder or steep narrow stairs. If you are fit and healthy, all good.
