Gabriel is the most wonderful host I have ever met in all my trip around Cuba... he helped me to arrange taxis in a very complicated time and was availbale for all my requests... But the most important, is the discussion I had with him and his beautiful family, which was so far the best instructive conversion I took in Cuba... Thanks Gabriel!

Similar experience to the previous review of Jamie Lee. I was not contacted by the host. I contacted the host on the morning of the day when I was to arrive in Boyamo, he said due to a hydraulics issues at his house, he has had to change the address. Did not respond to all the questions asked of him prior to arrival, upon arrival he met us at the viazul station, asked us to get in a horse cart taxi, and he got in another, we assumed he was coming with us, he did not. We arrived at the new host's place. He was an old guy and did not speak english, we felt bad for the old guy so we stayed. The place did not have a kitchen and utensils for use as advertised, the internet was not free like at some other casa's however the room was clean. The location was good. But it was a problem that we couldn't communicommunicate our concerns to the host or the new host (due to a mixture of our lack of Spanish and feeling bad for the old guy as we were just dumped at his house), if the host had told us earlier we would've cancelled the booking and look elsewhere, he must not continue to relocate people without giving them the option to cancel and fne somewhere else with a good amount of time. Plenty of good casa's in Boyama, I would recommend against booking through Gabriel.

The first thing when we arrived was that Gabriel told us that he has a problem in the apartment and that he organized something equal to his. Well it was not true, the other one did not have a kitchen you could use. If you wanted something to heat, like water for a tea you had to ask the host. For the rest we cant give a review, because we didnt stay in the apartment from Gabriel

I'm torn about how to write this review. The accommodation I was provided was very adequate and with lovely people, however it was not what I had booked through Airbnb and I was never advised that the apartment I booked would be unavailable or that I would be provided with an alternative. I was taken to a casa particular a block or two away from where this one is supposed to be and had a private room with private entrance & bathroom. However it was not a private apartment with private living room etc as advertised, nor was there wifi available. I also had to follow up Gabriel on the day of my stay as I had not heard from him since making the booking, at which point he just advised that someone would meet me at the bust station and bring me to the apartment, he did not tell me that it would be a totally different place so I feel this was a little deceitful. All in all, what was provided was fine, but not as advertised and I am disappointed to have not been informed.
